Jewellery Inspiration

Ok, I have noticed an issue where completing JC writs you dont get any inspiration gain.

Also, when deconstructing Intricate pieces there is no extra boost.

On top of that all CP160 rings/necks I decon seem to give the same value of inspiration, white, green, blue, purple, gold. Surely a gold item should be >>> than a white.

im on console so can't give exact figures of inspiration gain but its noticeable, and pretty crap.

From what I've been reading, the entire Jewelry Crafting system.

ZoS needed people to come back. What better way to force them to stay than to introduce the longest grindfest in the game's history.

Those who want spellcrafting? Because careful what you wish for. You may just get it.

    Indeed.

Don't see how this could go wrong as they can simply overlay the template from other crafting skills unless they have specifically altered it so as CP160 gear doesnt give so much of a boost at low levels as it would be rather fast to level otherwise, and somewhere along the line they screwed it up.

On PC, there was a bug with JC writs above Tier 1 (pewter) where they were giving inspiration to enchanting.

From what I've seen, intricate white jewelry gives more inspiration than ornate, but for other items, there is also an inspiration boost for quality. So an intricate ring will not give as much inspiration as a purple ring. I don't remember how it compares to blue, but it does give more IP than a green.

On PC there was a bug where only the lowest level writs (pewter) would award JC inspiration. Copper and above awarded enchanting inspiration.
This bug has already been fixed on PC.

There is an inspiration cap at lower levels so it's best to save your intricate and purple jewelry for later. I think at rank 28 or something like that they start granting you their full inspiration value.

I've had my Enchanting level up when turning in Jewelry Crafting writs. No JC inspiration at all. Seems to be a bug of some sort.

It´s very little know but JC (or maybe all crafting) has a inspiration cap. You have a certain cap per level.

To illustrate (numbers are totally fictional here!):
At JC level you get a max of 100 inspiration per item. If a white ring is worth 50 inspiration you get 50 inspiration. If you take a cp160 item that might be worth 10k inspiration you only get the cap, which is 100 at JC level 1 (again, those values are made up!).
So deconning a cp160 item will be capped off for a long time. Since pretty much all of us only get cp160 items you can´t really do much about it. At around JC 40 you will probably see that white/green/blue etc. give different values (because you don´t reach the cap anymore), but until then a lot of inspiration goes to waste.

Don´t ask me for a source, there was a very good article by some player but I can´t find that anymore.

Oh very interesting, that will explain why all my items I deconstruct give the same level of inspiration, as he is only level 20 in JC and its only CP160 gear he is deconning, so all items are above cap and not giving full value but the same max capped value.

Cant confirm any problems on PC, all enlightenments and boosts when deconstructing higher quality or intricate jewels work perfectly fine.

Also cant confirm any inspiration caps. Deconstructing cp160 purple gears boost my chars way more at than white, green or blue jewellery at any given level.
