Beard Colours - Query

I admit it’s been bugging me for a while, but why are beard colours in game so different from your characters hair colour?
Yes, I know RL has variations and it depends to a certain extent on your graphics card but my Nord is light blonde. When I try to add anything other than stubble it looks really odd as the beard generally looks brown. Even the stubble come through as black (but it works).
Is this just me? A small thing in the scheme of things, but I’d love to use some of the beards and as they are they just look odd.
