I have more than one Launcher folder, what do I do?

I was experiencing imminent disk failure, and so I literally just dragged and dropped all my gaming stuff onto another disk before it was too late. As I was doing it, I just made a new folder for each game and dumped anything I found related to the game in that folder and moved on - speed was necessary here. Now that I am ready to clean up and put things back in order, I need to figure out how the ESO launcher and game folders are set up.

Right now, I have a container folder I named ESO. Inside I have two sub folders: Launcher and The Elder Scrolls Online. There are also a couple of loose files, an install_eso.exe and two files to start the game through Steam. In the sub folders, the Launcher folder has all relevant files for the launcher, and in The Elder Scrolls Online folder, there is also a Launcher folder and relevant files (as well as all the other game files you'd expect).

I think I may have one too many Launcher folders, but I don't know how I got the extra one, or if it is indeed an extra redundant folder. The disk it was on was old from 2010, and I was in the beta testing and had the testing install, and then upon the public release I bought the game and installed it again. I also joined the public test server after the launch, so there's 3 opportunities that could have created a Launcher folder, but I can't be sure, and I am not sure if it's safe to remove the extra folder.

Well, one way to handle that would be to move the Launcher folders you think are extraneous to your desktop, then see if the game loads from the Launcher that's left. If it doesn't, then put the other Launcher folders back where you got them.

You could also move the /The Elder Scrolls Online/depot/ folder to Desktop and then uninstall the game, remove every leftover file and reinstall the launcher. Before opening the launcher move the /depot/ folder(this contains the game assets and is 99% of the download size) back in and it *should* detect all files still available and only require redownloading anything other than assets. Make sure that /The Elder Scrolls Online/Depot is right next to the Launcher folder(so you have /The Elder Scrolls Online/ and /Launcher/ right next to eachother). It's the best way to do a clean installation without requiring a 80GB redownload. This works for me but your mileage may vary.
