Championship Points. What is the max?

I am finally getting Championship Points. I thought we could max out each skill at 100, but now I am thinking this is wrong. So what is the maximum level of Championship Points we can get. I Googled it and it says 3600. But from what I read we can't use them up so the are "saved" what ever that is suppose to mean.
What I don't know is because Google is not finding it for me, what is the max total.
What is the max I can put in a skill. 100?
What are the skills I should be looking at? I think I am putting mine in the wrong skills since they don't seem to be helping me and went I went to respect found out it costs lots of gold to do so. So if I want to respect, do I respect everything or can we choose what skills we respect. Do we respect Mage, Thief and Warrior all at once or can we respect on part. If we respect one part is it all the skills in the Mage for example or can we respect some and not others.

static_recharge✭✭✭✭100 is the max per "star", total is 3600 that can be earned but you can only spend so many. Currently the cap is 750, but this increases with each DLC / Chapter release. You can earn past that but not spend them. When you respec them it is 3k gold, and you can make as many adjustments as you need. Same gold cost.1 -

✭Current spendable cap is 750. They usually raise the cap by 30 (10 for each color) with each new updateNB enthusiastic:- Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
- Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
- Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
- Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

Why is there no page showing the actuall CP cap and maybe a documentary about what it used to.
I guess the cap is not 750 anymore.....0 -

The game tells you can spend 270 into each area. That is cap right now. 810.0 -

Champion Point Update
The Champion Point cap will not be increased for Update 21, or subsequent updates, until further notice. We are currently investigating the best direction to take the system to have healthier balance overall for the game.

My guess: Since CP was a big departure from VET, I'm thing the next will be a big departure from CP..1
