Of course it's a scam. You think they put crates in that are weighted in the players favor? No. They are weighted in ZOS' favor. You keep people from getting what they want, they have the keep spending to get it. They get it their first couple crates and that's it, they're done buying for that season. They can make the odds anything they want them to be and they have. Everything is available, sure. Maybe at a .00001% chance per crate.

Just wait until they introduce a type of lottery. Pay a price per ticket only for a handful of people to win each month back to back with limited exclusive items. It'll happen I am sure. They do everything else they can to squeeze every cent from our pockets.

Nah, it's just RNG. And RNG is cruel and perverse.

I've gotten multiple mounts from the free crates they give once in awhile (and I'm not subbed, so I don't get the 5 when a "free ESO+" event happens). Know why? Because I don't want any of them.

I chuckled when BGS Todd talked about the monetization of Fallout Shelter. He said they were going to use it for Blades, because they deliberately did a light monetization, and it paid off. Then he had a quote that made me chuckle.

I see that ZOS is gouging us. Limited time offers, very expensive mounts and pets, Chapters that sell for cash then become Crown DLC, random loot boxes with exclusive stuff. Leave no coin on the table. Keeping their hands warm in our pockets. Although... they probably don't see it that way. They probably figure all the ways they could be worse and that justifies what they are doing. For a long time, now, ZOS and some of their customers have taken that approach. It could be worse. It didn't start that way, but now it is worse. ZOS lost their way a long time ago. They have been boiling the frog for months.

The whole resistance moment is pretty much dead folks have accepted the Crown Crate situation is what it is and will never ever go anywhere.

So the mock outrage just won't happen like it once did.


Also.....

RNG is RNG I spend less on Crown Crates than I do most of my other hobbies and have Three Apex mounts.

And honestly a nifty skin or looking pretty isn't that big of a deal.

I think especially that the rate of chance was decreased much, because except error of my share before the mounts had more chance to fall.

I don't understand how common people still fall for this. There are more then enough youtube vids of streamers opening 60 boxes with little reward.
I am not going to react to the swindle. You bought it, so it's your own fault. Everybody knows the droprate is very tiny.

I could see these going away, with one catch. Take the average price of taking a gambling for the apex mounts, that will now be the price of the apex mount you want. I would imagine they would end up costing a couple hundred dollars. How many mounts do you think they will sell for such a high price? How many crates do you think they will sell by changing nothing?

Sorry you didn't get what you wanted, but you put way too much stock into getting what you wanted. These are OPTIONAL CHANCE BOXES, you got what you paid for; an optional chance at getting something you wanted.

Aren't they always weighted in zos's favor? Were exchanging real money for digital items. We could get all the mounts in the season in 15 crates and it'd still be a win for them. What i think you mean is that there designed to squeeze the most money possible out of players.

Well, considering that the U.S. Supreme Court recently cleared the way for legal sports betting across the nation, I highly doubt the federal government here, and few if any state governments, are going to do anything to deter this type of gambling, even more so because going in you, the OP, know there's a very real risk that you won't "win" what you want.

I got this from my one free crate, so I was one of the lucky ones. Soon you will be too.

I never bought any crowns and never bought any crown crate, but I own the frost saber cat and atronach guar and golden saber cat and a variety of lesser crown mounts just from free crates or subscription crowns. I never had the feeling like the system is cheating me. I just know well how to handle with the system to get what I need really cheap .
