sloads is destroying pvp

any plans on fixing this clearly broken set that EVERYONE is running? no set EVER had SO much complaints in so tiny time like sloads because its CLEARLY brokenly OP and ruining pvp.

im already tired of cyrodiil and in battlegrounds its even worse because of SLOADS. its not fun anymore, EVERY fight you will get sloaded, you are lucky if its only one sload and not stacking.

and why are sorcs still allowed to cast shields and protect themself from other damage while nightblades just CANT cloak? whats the point of cloak when EVERYTHING breaks it and EVERY tick of sloads with mostly 100% uptime anyway? the class defensive skill, cloak, is completely useless when sloaded.

let us at least cloak but take the damage just like shields, its just unfair otherwise.

Maybe I'm being dumb...but I looked up Sloads online...how is a set that does 400 damage in cyrodil cause so much problems? Can someone explain what this set is doing that is such an issue?

Running purge is sorta odd for sloads esp with a stam build when 1. it has a high cost, and 2. it will get reapplied right after

the sooner they fix this the better for the health of this game

Did i miss the change where purge was nerfed to only affect Sload's?

Surge did have uses before that change - useful for countering a lot of potential effects and problems... but man if it has been reduced now to "SPECIFICALLY" just counter Sload's i can see this being of concern.

It does 834 per tick, 6 times. So a little over 5k in cyrodiil and battlegrounds.

It is oblivion damage, aka not mitigated by anything, goes through shields, and goes through blocking. But it can be buffed by minor and major berserk.

There are 3 problems with it.

1) It has a duration of 6 seconds and a cooldown of 6 seconds. It basically can be up 99% of the time.

2) It can stack from multiple users. Imagine you just get a light attack from 3 players and then you break line of sight and hide. You're about to take 15k damage over 6 seconds that can not be mitigated, blocked, or shielded through.

3) It performs very well when paired with major defile. This is why a lot of tanky characters with reverberating bash and nightblades with incap strike are using this set.

The real issue, in my opinion, is that this set pushes the archetype for letting sets proc, using 1 DoT, and then playing defensively while they can't outheal it.

If you combine a setup, such as sloads, sheer venom, and then poison injection, your sloads and sheer venom will proc while poison injection is on the target. Using 1 ability has granted that user about 15k damage over 6 seconds for doing almost nothing. And then it is followed up by real skills like ults, surprise attack, funnel health, venemous claw, jabs, and so on. The proc sets grant too much raw power after using 1 skill before combined with a standard rotation.

exactly, and he also claims that "everyone" is wearing that set, but that not true iether.
myself, my friends, my guild members, no one that i know is wearing sloads, you only see it randomly being used in cryodiil.
and one purge and poof, is gone.
the only time there might be a problem is in battlegrounds or anywhere that multiple people are wearing that set anmd they are all targeting You, but if that's the case, then your fighting a group and you would have died anyway has nothing to do with thier armor, its because a group is targeting you.

you are not dumb at all, the problem is they refuse to use purge and adjust their build, just like the rest of us had to.
instead they prefer to run a build that has no defenses and is pure damage output, and they rely on shields.
so in exchange for their not slotting purge and makeing changes to their build like the rest of us have to, no, instead they just die, and their mad about it.

The problem isn't sloads in itself. The problem is pairing it to create a whole new archetype of gameplay which has no counter.

You say it's so simple, just purge sloads. It's really not, because what happens while you're casting purge for sloads? They are using a spammable on you, or ulting you, or applying different dots right after you purge. So now what must you do? Play defensive for a few seconds, but guess what, sloads is a 6 second cooldown and going to be up again right as you are ready to switch to the offensive. So you want people to purge again there too?

Also, please inform me how a stam sorc, stam dk, stam nb, and stam warden are going to be casting purge every 6 seconds.

And something else you're completely ignoring is the fact sloads, and other proc sets, do not consume resources for the opposing player. So while you're over there "spamming purge" they're sitting on full resources for a normal rotation while you are stuck on the defensive draining your own resource pools.

You have to look at the bigger picture and not just a 834 damage per second dot with no cooldown.

I swear Efficient Purge is so strong now even for stamina. Seducer is gonna make a comeback but for stamina.

Are you even serious? You want everyone including stam classes to slot purge against something that gets refreshed instantly the second it falls off? Jesus...

Sload is a problem and gamebreaking at that. It's not fun, it's not enjoyable, and if you think winning while having your hand held by something that literally takes 0 effort to apply is some sort of a giant achievement then I feel sorry for you.

It's nothing in Cyrodiil but try to do Battlegrounds. It's Horrible. Absolutely disgusting and not fun. The problem here isn't Sload itself if it worked as intended. Problem is it does not. It has 7 ticks instead of 6, It can REFRESH ITSELF (yes it can dont even try to argue with me I have seen it a bazillion times even while dead which is hilarious), it STACKS FROM MULTIPLE PEOPLE.

Even the top players/streamers, those people look up to have said its HORRIBLE. You just defend a broken set because without it you wouldn't even scratch anyone in PVP. Or maybe you are on the exceptional players too, but I have seen far too many people without any sort of PVP awareness use this to kill good players. Let's at least be honest.

Efficient purge is great. It still costs quite a bit but I run it on my stamblade tank quite alot. I use forward momentum first if snared then purge to remove the rest of the garbage on me.
