I've always found it slightly uninspired that this skill never did anything unique like Wall of Elements or Destructive Touch. So I thought that maybe this could change:
IE:
Impulse
- Lightning Staff [Stuns] Concussed Enemies.
- Inferno Staff [Deals more damage] to Burning targets.
- Frost Staff applies [Immobilizes] to Chilled Enemies.
Elemental Ring (Target Location and Creates a Lingering damage zone.)
- Target Location, also Leaves a 6m AoE for 6s that deals [x] Shock damage per second
- Target Location also Leaves a 6m AoE for 6s that deals [x] Fire damage per second.
- Target Location, also Leaves a 6m AoE for 6s that deals [x] Frost damage per second.
Pulsar: (Adds additional effects)
- Deals 10% more damage per enemy hit, up to 50%.
- Inferno Staff applies Minor Mangle. (Or DoT?)
- Grants a [x] Damage Shield plus an additional 100% per enemy hit.
Would you rather see this skill stay the same, or would you want to see it have different effects per staff type?

I'd like to see Impulse and morphs get different effects per Staff type.
