Universal riding skills would be amazing

Its such a grind to do it on multiple characters. I'll be playing my main and consider switchign over to my side but then remember 'oh wait, my mounts still slow there' and just feel bored and go play a different game or something....

Even as a feature of eso+ some way to have it would be to die for

They probably make too much money off of people who are impatient and buy the riding lessons in the store.
Just log into your alts even if all you do is train your horses every day on 'em. I've got a couple alts I don't really play but I train their horses just in case I get around to them some day.

No seriously, universal riding would be great, I wanna make new characters but the riding levels....jesus. Puts me off every time. Never bothered buying a character slot increase as a result.

Im not going to spend over £100 just too fully level one characters mount speed, capacity and stamina. Hell no.

Your character needs to train riding the same way as your character needs to train skills. Do you see universal training for all your class? Nope. See, it's not the mount that's being trained, it's the character's riding skills.

So I train my character to put more stuff in saddle bags by feeding my horse? I train my character to have increased stamina? How come when my mount runs out of stamina after sprinting a lot, I can jump off and take off sprinting? Oh that's right, because it's the mounts' stamina, not mine. Lets be real here, training mounts was just one of the early ways of fleshing out the game. It gave you something more to do in the base game, that by today's current patch, was a pretty watered down version of what we now know as ESO. It's about time that early features get updated to be on par with newer ones as QoL improvements. This particular one never will though because ZoS has been really artificially inflating the life span of the game by increasing the grind, not decreasing it. That toppled with the "in your face" crown store mindset they are currently pushing on their player base, and the fact that they sell scrolls to speed up the process nearly everyone hates tells me that this topic is like beating a dead horse... with another dead horse.

Well, honestly I would be fine with simply having the game making riding lessons give you 2 percent instead of 1 after having maxed it out once. Other games have similar systems in place. In STO for instance, if you have finished "reputation" skill lines, they will only take half as long to complete on any other character that hasn't finished it yet. Which is a simple way to make this less frustrating.

Do you know how long it takes to get anywhere in Cyro when your stupid mount speed is low? In my head I'm like, I'll see you guys tomorrow! Its ridiculous. So yeah, lets get on with this already.

This is a BIG money maker for ZOS... they are not going to change it so they lose money. Many people, including myself, have spent untold $$'s upgrading new character mount speed from Crown store... sure it sucks... but it's income for ZOS.

I also campaign to keep bad design choices that add nothing to the game just because I want new players to endure the same pain I did.

They will never do it. Too much money in crown lessons and fillers in crates.
