Surviving Dungeons as a StamBlade

I'd like to hear some perspectives about this. I have a 750 CP StamBlade toon that's a LOT of fun. Much different from my usual MagSorc. I know a StamBlade is about quick, high burst damage dodging attacks, strong AOE's, and poison. I'm dual weld + bow and good gear (Alcast recommended). My damage output is good but survive-ability in big boss fights is always a challenge with medium gear and few to no self-heals or shields. I'd be curious about some tactics others use in boss situations.

Vigor and Blade Cloak should be all you need.

How much health do you have?

Don't stay in red and let the healers do their job. Most stam dps builds have little to no self healing. If the boss fight is too hard for healers use vigor. If we're talking about vma then definitely use vigor.

If you are really struggling you can use bloodthirst(flurry morf) instead of surprise attack. Its less damage(noticeably less) but more healing.

I run about 19K health. I typically have Deadly Cloak (reduces incoming damage) and Leeching Strikes (gives back health and stamina) up constantly with my first strike being Blood Craze (which gives returns some health). I also slot Deep Thoughts occasionally (Psijic) but find this more useful between fights than during. Staying our ot red is a no-brainer and good healers are great, of course, but you can't always depend on one. I do reasonably well staying alive, but with the stamblade survival just feels like a constant pressure.

With Vigor being the main recommendation, sounds like I need to do more Alliance stuff as I also need to get Caltrops.

    Thanks for the responses.

You'd be sacrificing damage and you major resistances for a pretty small heal. Not worth it imo.

If I PUG dungeons and don't trust a healer I will swap out Deadly Cloak for Vigor. You could also swap out Rending Slashes as well if you don't want to give up Deadly Cloak.

Vigor + Blade Cloak is basically god mode. Keep in mind that there is a morph that gives you even more health over time. Join a large group when you do alliance. Your AP will shoot up during big battles.

You can try the new Dark Cloak morph. Returns 32% of your max health, and it’s a Magicka ability so not pulling from your primary resource pool like Vigor would. Also get minor protection (8% dmg mitigation) for a few seconds after dark cloak .
DO. NOT. WIPE. (in game OR out!)

and leaching strikes. Every light attack weaved in heals (and returns stam). Stamblades probably have the best survival of all stam classes as a result.
