Benefits of Moving Momentum to Fighters Guild Skill Line
  • It no longer becomes essential for almost every stamina build to run 2H for access to the extremely valuable skills Forward Momentum or Rally in PVP.
  • You can add a nice damaging skill in place of Momentum in the 2H line to make 2H more of a DPS option on par with Dual Wield in PVE.

Others have already made the suggestion to move Momentum to Fighters Guild, and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't happen. Fighter's Guild only has four skills and one ultimate, so there's definitely room for one more skill without having to replace an existing one. Please and Thank You.

    Ive wanted this idea myself but it would make magicka straight up overpowered. In cp campaigns you have the unchained passive. So every magicka class would slot this and after cc break pop forward momentum. Why should all magicka classes be given a snare/root immunity better then medium users shuffle snare/root immunity?

    Its a good idea but there is upsides and downsides to such a change.

    It'd also take away the best thing 2H has going for it, because between it and DWing, 2H is still a good bit behind.

    If you're trying to add in a new skill to the FG's tree, make a skill that increases attack/cast speed of physical attacks by 10-14% when active, with morphs that passively add crit for one of them and for the other gives your light and heavy attacks a bleed for X% of the damage done. when you hit.

    I agree. Make it a FG skill.

    And make 2h more useful, while you're at it. If people use it mostly for 1 skill, the weapon design needs to be looked at.

    You might've had a point before they made 2H count as two set pieces (being able to go 5/5/2 is a pretty big deal), but right now 2H is not behind DW at all.


    Looking at the passives/dmg & penetration difference, Nirnhoned/Sharpened DW gets 46 more weapon damage (65 with Major Brutality, 5p medium armor & Master Assassin passive) & 1376k more penetration (2% dmg vs anything without dmg shields) where as 2H user gets +30% stam regen after kill for 10 seconds, 10% extra dmg to next attack after heavy attack & splash dmg with light/heavy attacks.

    In terms of abilities, 2H has the strongest stamina gap closer, best execute, best gank ultimate & the only stamina burst heal available to most classes (Warden is the only exception).


    No, 2H is not behind at all even if you didn't count the absolute must have ability that is Rally.


    Besides, if you want DW you can always drop bow or whatever other weapon you have to get even more bleeds on target.

    Wrecking blow is fine as a spammable

    Instead, give 2h a defensive skill (like blade cloak) to make it more of an option on PvE. That's what it lacks.

    Also I'm totally going ignore that guy up there saying wrecking blow is fine.

    Okay so I think there are a few good ways to do this.

    2h Needs to have a heal much earlier in its skill line, so that new players can use 2h without dying. A lot of 2h NBs for example just fail to be able to quest because they can't get 2h to level 40 or whatever to get the Heal. 2h also really lack in AoE clear potential and 0 damage over time abilities that are so important for PVE. I think 2h probably just needs a full redesign.

    Circle of protection morph that fears vamps or whatever, should be the spell that gets this ability, it is an extremely expensive ability, akin to purge in the support skill line, that would prevent its abuse by magicka characters really only viable for more hybrid characters (shacklebreaker users). I.E you can use it but you get one chance to get out.

    i think the point of making 2h and dual weild was so stam has a pvp and pve line. mag only needs destro staffs cuz they have most of the class skills too, but stam needed separate weapons for separate things

    What are you talking about? The third skill in the line gives a shield, does AOE AND is a dot. If you are not using brawler with a two-hander, you are simply doing it wrong. With brawler you can pretty much solo everything and it becomes even better once get momentum.
