Lilmothiit polymorph/new race?

Yes this subject again, but a tad different. I'd like to implore this idea as either a new race OR a polymorph, for the lore people. Which one, if any, would you be okay/happy with having sometime? I'll keep my biased opinion out of the poll options and keep them simple, but I'd love to hear people's opinion regardless. I would like to point out we do already have daedric polymorphs however
Hoping for more playable races

Not polymorph, because then they'd all look identical, and we'd have a thousand identical clones running around.

I'd prefer to have a Maormer or Akaviri as a new race, but Lilmothiit would be neat, too.
And before someone tries to say the Akaviri are dead, here's screenshot proof they DO exist in this timeline. Lilmothiit would be trickier, because they supposedly died out 20 years before the ESO timeline, but it would be logical that a few might still be around.

I'm surprised by the votes, maybe folks are being a bit more lax on the "OMG LORE' that may or may not even be true

    Ahum...

    OMG LORE

But seriously the Lilmothiit are extinct from the Knahaten Flu, much like the Kothringi. Having that "Oh but I'm the last of them" is so... Cliche and unbelievable, especially when there's a couple hundred running around. Maybe when there's a DLC for Black Marsh, we can get a Lilmothiit motif, maybe some villages or ruins.

It's thought that Knahaten Flu in 2E 560 wiped them out, which is actually 30 years before current ESO time. But their fate is unknown, quite possible they still exist.

I'd love to see it as a new race tbf. But if it's gonna be a race then ZoS would only bind it to next expansion, where i'm not sure how they would fit

I've suggested this as a playable race almost since launch.

For the OMG Lore factor I have proposed the deus ex machina that they and other interesting folks like the Imga were spirited away to Akavir where there'd be other playable races.

Mostly because it seems like such an obvious way for ZOS to make their own storyline without worrying about the future as set forth in other games. A nearly blank slate to create something entirely new.

Saying the Akaviri are dead would be kinda, weird. Given the continent is still inhabited in the fourth era (so far as we know.)

The problem is, Akavir is a continent, not a single race. There's at least four races there that have survived, and one that may be extinct. There's the Ka'po'tun, the Tsaesci, Tang Mo, and the Kamal, all of whom are assumed to be alive and thriving. There's a question regarding the Tsaesci, whether they're the human race on Akavir, or if that was a separate race that they devoured. But, the very short version is, there is no, "Akaviri race," there's four distinct races, three of which have never been seen at all in the games.

Yeah, that's basically correct. ZOS has even said they're effectively extinct in lore article a few years ago.

A polymorph could be acceptable, like the dremora plymorphs from IC.

    Special NPCs or nothing.

They're supposed to be a devastated Race, and id prefer not to have them suddenly running all over the place as players.

Thanks, I didn't know that. So technically ZOS could make any one of those four races of people into a playable race for ESO. Yay for possibilities! I'd love a new race. I don't even care much what the new race is.

But yeah, there are fan sites that claim that the Akiviri is a race, and that they're extinct. Here's one: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Akaviri. Thus my confusion. But you're right. There are other web pages that talk about those four races.

How about no? It was discussed many times. Adding any of the mentioned races is a very questionable move lore-wise. The game can be improved and expanded without any new races. Stop thinking WoW.
