As the title suggests, since yesterday the game has become totally unplayable for me or my geographical region (Belgium) with at best 5-10 sec freezes (in-game ping 999+) and worst timing out and kicking me back to login screen.
Note that only the evening before I had a perfect buttersmooth play session right after the 4.0.8 while successfully validating the multicore fix so I know and verified that my computer and game's configuration are in a flawless state currently. I have to assume the ZOS server team is aware already and all over it. In that case it would be nice if
@ZOS_GinaBruno could confirm here or give a status update. I never have these sort of connection problems while playing ESO and neither did I during the past 6 days before yesterday. So this unplayable ESO server lag is new and exceptional to me
IMPORTANT: during all of my play session including all 999+ freezes and disconnects I had a cmd box with a continuous ping open all this time to a completely different non-ZOS related internet address with a perfectly stable ping of 16-20ms in order for me to validate that the connection problem was not on my side. This proves to me that:
1. The source of this latency is located at the ZOS end since discord and my open continuous ping as well as other internet connections are not affected at any time. Only in-game connection to the game server is affected and everytime it happened I switched to validated that my connection to any other internet destination was unaffected.
2. It's most likely connection wise related but also could be server overload or something that causes the replies from the game server to temporarily stall and make the client freeze (waiting for answer from game server)
3. There were other people in my group that were able to play fine during all my dc's and lags so it might be restricted to my geographical region (Belgium)
4. The source of this latency problem is not client-side located and not to be confused with the multicore fps changes that were fixed in 4.0.8 patch
