    Hi all,

We're looking into this, but our initial investigation suggests this is a Steam outage. Is anyone not on Steam having this issue?

Me, PC EU, not playing through steam - 999+ ping disconnects etc. Started as soon as the daily reward was available

Thank you all. So around 8pm EDT, and when the Daily Reward became available to claim. Did performance improve again after you claimed the reward, or did the issue persist after that?

I am, PC EU. Ironically after posting that it was persisting it might be settling down now.

I suspect this may be an easy fix.
For anyone who *hasn't* accepted the daily reward yet, please test this, since I already accepted it:
    • Download Circonians LibNotifications from here. Direct download, don't use Minion.
    • Open the LibNotifications archive & go to the archive's \LibNotification\LibNotification\ folder.
    • Extract LibNotification.lua into your ...\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\NoThankYou\Libs\LibNotification\ folder, overwriting the existing file.
    • ReloadUI if you are in game, or fire up ESO & see if the errors persist.
    Thanks.

Edit: Guildmate confirmed copying in the updated lib fixed the errors.

PC NA. Logged in fine and accepted daily reward. No lag, no disconnects.
Also, I do not run the "no thank you" add-on or any other add-on to block the ESO screen.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom have crashed three times in the last 10 minutes. Keeps taking me to submit a report. One time while riding mount in Artaeum, twice while walking or just standing in Artaum. NA server and really bad ping for several people in our guild along with crashes.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom I am not playing on Steam, just a note. And now up to 8 crashes in the last 30 minutes, no addons enabled and almost an instant crash once I click out of the daily reward popup after load screen.

I might be going for the record on a "Requesting Character Load...." screen.
Tried to log in; waited a bit. Tried again. Waited a bit.
Went downstairs and took her stupid dog out for why you might do because why would I expect her to give her stupid dog a *** in the garden?
Raining pretty convincingly here, if I'm being honest. Cow and a flat rock sort of thing.
I dried myself and then the stupid dog. As per tradition.
Poured myself a wee Scotch and made my way back here.
    "Requesting Character Load...." still.
I don't know what to expect once I finally get that Load.
    The suspense is palpable, yeah?

This happened to my brother and I about the same time the problems started. Started with high ping then he crashed. I crashed a few moments later and again about 10 minutes after that. Ping started bad in summerset then the logouts happened in AA. Not on steam. NA/PC. We sit next to each other and it wasnt internet because it wasnt affecting the stream/obs.

I just logged in for the daily and had nothing unusual happen. Otoh I logged in at the Vivec City Wayshrine stables, accepted my 500 gold, fed my horse, and quit out again so I didn't exactly give it time to fail.

Just posting to add some data for the troubleshooters as to a scenario where things worked as they should.

Thanks for the additional info, all. Did the issues start within the last 30 minutes or so?

Not on Steam here, PC/NA issues for me as well, however I have to add to this:

All of last week the ping and frame rates were crud; previous my FPS would stay around the 60ish rate with the occasional dip to 30-40is if I was transitioning from countryside to city or anywhere else where there were a lot of players. Ping rate would usually be 80-low 90s.

Since Summerset my FPS rarely exceeds 50 and the ping rate hovers at 115 with many high spikes pretty much constantly. Then I'd have the occasional very long loading screens leading to a disconnect from the server coming at me without warning, the ping would be in the 100-110 range and suddenly load screen while within the zone, followed by the disconnect. Then when I try to log back in, account is already logged in and when I give it a few minutes and it does finally let me back into character selection, it'd repeat the extensive loading screen/disconnect upon selecting the same character. I'd then select a different character and I'd be able to play that character for about a hour or so before it too was being afflicted with this behavior.

I figured that the weekly maintenance would probably clear most of this up so I stopped playing last Wed and figured I'd give it a week, instead it's even worse. FPS tonight has been all over the place, ping rate is steadily worse hovering around 120s almost constantly, and the game routinely crashes after a hour or so, leading me to think you got one nasty memory leak going on.

I get that new product release, especially one that affects as many things as SI does I expect some instability, but the degree of this one is very off-putting. I'm sure you're looking into it, and that this general stability issue along with tonight's problem are likely unrelated but just the same, the game's stability has truly been poor as of late.

I'm going to echo Fherit some on this. I'm PC NA. About 2 days ago (evening of 6/5, PST), I put in a bug report in-game. I was in King Haven's Pass in Summerset. Inside the caves. Lag was as bad as I've ever seen it. Character not responding to input - then 3 seconds later, everything goes off. Rubberbanding. Got DC'ed once.
Like I said, I did an in-game bug report, but it certainly didn't happen right after getting daily rewards or anything. I'd been playing for an hour or two. I'd noticed the game seemed a bit slow here & there. But it was really, really bad in the delve.

Same. I used to enjoy high FPS and low latency. I rarely dropped below 80fps and was usually maxed out at 100. My latency was almost always steady at 70, sometimes spiking to 80-90.

Since Summerset, my FPS is usually 50-60 and my latency is 110-130.

Never in 30 years of gaming have I seen a company implement a patch with promised performance gains that resulted in massively DECREASED performance. At worst, i'd expect no change. Weak.

Posting here also, to speak on garbage performance since summerset, even worse since Monday's patch, and lots disconnects today and yesterday, every 15 minutes or so, between two different computers, wired and wireless, and finally on my laptop at my office (which usually yields excellent performance, dont judge me).

    Thanks,

Yeap, 5 crashes yesterday booted to login screen with error 307 during a pledge with intense skill lag & teleporting everywhere. It was around the time daily rewards came out. PC NA, steam user. Today I just logged on, still hover from 130 to 999+ ping for no reason while doing writs, back and forth with lag.
