Can't remove my crown fortifying meals.

I've got two character bound crown fortifying meals in my inventory and can't do anything with them.

The game won't let me destroy them, eat them, or bank them - it just keeps saying 'This item is locked'.

But they're not locked - there's no padlock symbol by their icon and there's no way to 'unlock' them either.

If I recall correctly, Daily Rewards are "Account Bound". If one is transferred to the recipient character's bags as "Character Bound", then there is a bug in the gameware.

Perhaps the first thing you did was attempt to DESTROY the two Crown Fortifying Meals, and the message "This item is locked" was displayed because ZOS wants us to use them.* But the feature was either not designed or not implemented correctly (somebody goofed).

As a result the item became "Character Bound", now you can't do anything with it. The only "Character Bound" items which I have acquired in-game are Trophy drops from dungeon bosses. The only thing that I can do with them is to use the Home Editor to transfer the Trophy from the character's bags for display in a Homestead which I own. So now you have a Trophy of ZOS Buggy Gameware.

Please report this in-game. Either press the <F1> key for Help, or enter the /bug command in the Chat UI text entry field. Then select Feedback.

    For what it is worth:
    • The items that I have "claimed" in the Daily Rewards so far -- including the two Crown Fortifying Meals -- were transferred to the Bags of the character which I was playing when I received them. These items were subsequently deposited in the Bank.
    • However, I have not attempted to deposit them in Homestead Storage Chests or Coffers, from which items have been known to simply disappear -- as if they were a garbage disposal instead of a secure storage container.
So, I don't know why that is not working for you. Even a weapon, a piece of armor, or an accessory which is "locked" by the player can be deposited to, and withdrawn from, either the Bank or Homestead storage (and the item remains locked until the player unlocks it). But a player cannot "lock" consumable items.

    * IMHO, if ZOS wants us to use consumable Crown Store "rewards", then they need to write better tooltips for them. The description of the benefits are too vague. As it stands the Crown Store offers consumables of uncertain value for the sake of the convenience of players who don't have time, or don't want to spend time, to obtain similar or better items in-game. I doubt that a player's character can access the Crown Store while engaged in combat, but they probably can do that between fights. Of course, if any Crown Store consumables were superior to those which characters of the players can craft in-game, then that would be "pay to play", would it not?

Me too - it's a pain in the ass and taking up much needed space. I logged an xbox ticket so hopefully soon there will be a response ;)
