    Yeah, because chat already handles people spamming walls of text of the same character just to be an a** and cause lag spikes for everyone in the zone. Imagine people spamming 100 :s's in chat. Damn servers will melt. If you cannot "express" yourself without an emoji, you have bigger things to worry about... like getting a 4th grade education.
