Intricate and Ornate Jewelry Traits

Well, the subject pretty much says it all. Before Summerset launch we only had 3 jewelry traits, but they did also drop in ornate. Now that we have jewelry crafting available, will they also drop in intricate from overland content, etc?

I'm on console and at work so I haven't been able to test this. Would love some feedback since from what I've been able to research, intricate has only been seen from completing crafting writs. Is this accurate?

I have looted white quality intricate jewellery from mobs. None of higher quality so far, though.

On PC/NA, I have only seen intricate jewelry from crafting writs. Ornates can drop from writs or overland content (and some stolen items can be ornate). The patch notes did not mention anything about intricates dropping from overland content, sorry.

Update: I just looted an intricate electrum ring from a desk - they do exist.

Intricate and Ornate jewelry traits can not be crafted, they only exist so you can sell them for more, or you can gain more exp when you decon them.

This is what I thought the drop table would allow since it would follow blacksmithing for example. Good to have confirmation on the matter.

Yes. There isn't anything mention about intricate or ornate jewelry. I haven't found anything on the subject which is why I started this thread. I was inclined to thinking it should be on the universal drop table and it appears it is as @Leandor has stated.

This is understood. I wanted to find out if you could potentially power level JC by taking advantage of intricate jewelry.

EDIT: And potentially figure out how to farm said jewelry.

I have found a few intricate pieces during PC early access. No way to farm them. It just seems like any (non-set) piece of jewelry that drops has a very small chance of being intricate. And non-set jewelry dropping from trash mobs is not very common to begin with. You will level up faster by just grinding dolmens. You can crank through a dolmen quickly and it guarantees a piece of set jewelry. In the time it took you to stumble across an intricate ring that gives 3x inspiration, you could have farmed 100 pieces of jewelry from dolmens.

Also, inspiration gains are capped early on (to prevent decon of one gold ring from giving you 10 levels in jewelry crafting). For a long period of time, decon of white jewelry gives same level increase as decon of gold jewelry. Eventually, you will start to see slightly more inspiration from purple compared to blue, and so on. But you will probably have Jewelry Crafting practically maxed out before intricate jewelry really becomes worthwhile. If you do find any intricate jewelry, I would hold it until like Level 40 or so, to guarantee you get max inspiration from it.

Nope, it's too rare. That said, if you like farming places with lots of containers (e.g. tombs in Vvardenfell or the delve in Arteum) for designs, then you will find a few electrum rings there too sometimes.

Ornate jewelry also exists ... but have only found them in crafting writs so far on my end.
