Templar's "house" in PvP

There's no escaping that many of our skills are still pushing this play style. Rather than fighting against it, I'm trying to embrace the "house" mechanic in certain scenarios.
I've found since Time Stop was introduced, holding flags in BGs has never been easier as a templar. People are learning to avoid it, and those who don't suffer a hard CC and are usually burned down pretty fast. Add the Focus/Ritual and a bit of AoE pressure, and it can be quite effective. Still only situational, but it's something.
What are your ways of adopting the "house" mechanic?
What are some other good skills to use in conjunction with the templar runes?

✭If you're dw, blade cloak is really nice if you're comfortable with your stam sustain. It's effective vs every class's burst options except nbs. Can help reveal nbs tho.0 -

3k stam is alot for a mag build. Even 2100-2400 forward momentum is ALOT to handle.

There is a skill in undaunted or fighters that brands the earth similar to the Templar channeled focus only this costs stamina and increases stamina regen ... Not magica, great for Stamplars holding house
Personally I'd like to see cc immunity while both chanlled focus and ritual of retribution / extended ritual is up together so we have the "home" advantage1 -
Datolite✭✭✭✭✭I use Circle of Protection on my tank sometimes, it's pretty decent. Synergizes well with Focus and Meditate (Introspection), giving you 38% damage mitigation + armor + crazy health/stat regen. It might be solid for tank in BGs specialising in area denial but again, this is very situational. the "house" concept is still very vulnerable to ranged damage. Maybe Total Dark would be nice if it wasn't so easily countered. Basically a free CC immunity...Edited by Datolite on June 4, 2018 6:55PM0

✭✭I feel like the way the game plays now the house concept is outdated. If you stop moving you take more hits and drop faster. You have to consider rune focus an 8 second buff, you can’t just hang out in it anymore.- PC/NA

✭The only way to build a house is to either make a build with high damage that implements aoes or go snb turtle mode with 18k-19k stam while running immovables and a defense set.
In cp it's actually pretty easy to build a brawly magplar, when you take away cp and decide to not play a healbot you see the issue with the house concept.1 -
