A brief synopsis of our guild. Founded by returning players to the game with a new found passion, Cerberuses of the Eight provides a jack of all trades experience to the every-day player. That being said we know it is rare, and sometimes unreasonable for an individual to play all of the time. We we're founded with the intent of prodviding a unique and beneficial experience for a community, not to force you into grinding your life away.
CotE celebrates all kinds of players, as mentioned before we claim to provide an all in one experience. However with a game as massive as ESO that is nearly impossible so here is a quick rundown of all the things we do cover...
PvE and non-combat across the board: What this means is beyond helping each other with quests and dungeons we run trials and non-combat events.
Daggerfall PvP: Although players aren't required to play Daggerfall to be in the guild, to participate in guild-wide PvP activity you will need a DC character.
Light Trading: We offer in-guild trading, and inter-guild trading when we can. However without a directed focus we can not offer our members the experience they would in a trading guild.
Social: We have a discord which we highly encourage all members to use. The discord not only is a source of communication, but a way to immerse yourself within the community. Many of our opportunities and events are posted and held within it.
Due to our split focus, we feel it is extremely important to offer a ranking system representative of such. There are many many ways to rank up within our guild thanks to our immersive ranking system & personalized titles. We want our members to feel apart of our community, not as if they are a number contributing to the success of a select few. That being said, let me lay out our ranking structure for you below.
Rankings
Recruit
The work ahead is great in demand, and even more rewarding.
Recruit is the rank given upon induction to the guild. This rank will be sustained for up to a week of activity.
Agent
It is our mission, to spread the love & peace of the Eight throughout Tamriel.
To become an angent one has pledged to devote their time and loyalty to the cause of the guild. Agents are perhaps the hardest working guild members, and are always breathing new life into the atmosphere. Anyone will tell you a quick chat with an Agent of the Cerberuses will brighten your week.
This rank is achieved after a week of guild activity.
Knight
Knights are the face and beauty of the guild, every child dreams of one day becoming a Knight of the Cerbuses. Knights within the guild are known as just defenders. Knights have proven themselves in battle, and as excellent guild mates. They are a shinning beacon of faith for those who need it most.
This promotion is available after the completion of 20 total jobs or notable guild activity.
Lieutenant
Merciful, but never unjust. Lieutenants are fierce combat veterans with an ambitious appetite. Although Lieutenants are often an imposing figure, they are very kind and considerate to all folk. They fight for freedom and justice only when it is needed, and never vengance.
This promotion is available after the completion of 60 total jobs or superb guild activity.
Sentinel
Battles are won not with brute force, but wisdom & logic. Sentinels are blessed with the strength of Gods and strategical finesse. They not only conquer the battlefield, but lead through it. Sentinels live by the idea the only thing more powerful than a fit body, is a fit mind.
This promotion is available after the completion of 100 total jobs or excellent guild activity.
Champion
The air around the Champions weighs heavier on the shoulders. Champions are often thought of as an elite group of personal guards, however they are more of a guiding hand from the divines. A ward protecting those pure of heart. Champions are also known to be the best mentors within the guild. It is a champions duty to forever protect.
This promotion is available after the completion of 150 total jobs or outstanding guild activity.
Cerberus
When facing a Cerberus know life is valuable, and death may be near. Once achieved you have proven yourself to be of the most trusted, and selfless members within the community. A Cerberus walks with their head held high and many look up to them. Veterans of the battlefield, master crafters, priests and priestesses alike make up this prestigious rank and all of them honorable. You will never find a Cerberus who turns a faithful soul down when in need.
This promotion is available after the completion of 200 total jobs or outstanding guild activity.
Cerberus Major
Time will not fail you child. Cerberus Majors are the leading force in the guild, during times of battle the chain of command starts with them. Servants of the divines, the Majors hold themselves to a higher standard of being lending a hand to all who may need it and never straying from the cause of freedom & justice. Forever guardians, in that way they are immortal.
Promotion to this rank is exclusive to members with outstanding guild support & activity with a hands on leadership role.
Cerberus of Eight
A council of eight administrative guild members. Each member is equal in rank and status, however each council member has different responsibilites and tasks. These are all equally important as each part of the guild must operate fluidly for us to successfully function. With just one stuck cog the machine stops. Below you will find a list of the seat titles and description in order of which guild ranking that council member speaks at meeting on behalf of.

High Cerberus

The head of the guild. The High Cerberus is a guild servant first of all. It is the duty of the High Cerberus to not only help the guild thrive, but it's members more importantly. Any successful guild should be able to provide back to it's members the start of an unpayable debt for their dedication. The guild is the platform for the community to succeed, not the inverse, and that is the purpose of the guild.

Jobs & Titles
Jobs were created to provide an in game reward experience based on your assistance to the community, other than the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone understand a great game even just a little better. You do not need to participate in the job system to achieve any non-exclusive rank, however we do ask for you to be a participating and helpful member in our community to achieve promotions. We believe jobs help to provide a more immersive experience.
Any player can submit a job request in the appropriate format, requesting assistance from other players. These jobs can be completed by up to 3 other players and contribute towards rank progression. Completion of the required amount of jobs for a promotion will call for an immediate review for promotion. Note: one does not need to complete all of the jobs required for a promotion to receive one, so long as they are active contributing guild members. All jobs completed will be recorded on the website for all the guild to see, this way you can take pride in your job count and people can see your accomplishment! Jobs can range from crafting someone a set, to helping run through a dungeon. Players have the option to offer a coin reward upon completion to further entice players to help them, and reward them for their service.
Additionally titles are available to all players who have achieved the Knight rank within the guild. As you complete more jobs and progress through the ranks your title will represent said progress. For example if you would like your title to represent your woodworking finesse you would start as 'Woodworker' while a Knight, and when you reach Cerberus you would unlock 'Master Woodworker'. Titles are a good way of showing other guild members not only what you've accomplished in game, but your expertise so members can easily reach out to you for jobs or assistance in areas they know you are proficient in. You can find your title in your assigned discord roles, and player notes within the guild. Members may have up to three titles of their choice at a time, not including their custom title or any titles that may be named upon them. You can find all guild members with titles listed below.

Guild Events & Activities
Currently we have guild activities planned for everyday of the week, although all activities are currently running (Being a new guild we are awaiting new members mainly to join us for these activities). These activities range from raffles and auctions, to various PvP and PvE events. Accumulating 1,000 gold worth of donated items in any activity (excluding auctions & raffles) is equivalent to completing one job toward your rank progression, because helping develop our infrastructure through in-game activities is MOST CERTAINLY a contribution to not only our guild but community as a whole.

Discord & you
Discord is an extremely helpful tool not only for voice communication in more organized instances, but for everything you could possibly need in a gaming community! We take advantage of that and as such some things like the job board are only available on our discord. We do not require anyone to download discord, speak in the discord, or do anything they don't want to do. However we highly recommend you at least give it a try and join us to fully immerse into the guild experience!
