One Last Mission After Cadwell's Gold (Alliance Change)

After experiencing all of the three storylines I think it would be nice to be shown an opportunity (with another questline perhaps) where we could change our alliances for one time.

I know that I could re-roll but I don't have the time and energy needed for it because of collage, and I don't want to just trash 400+ hours of playtime and start all over again, re-doing all the quests I've already completed, just to experience another alliance multiplayer-wise.

I've also red some complaints about this idea on various forums and it seems like people are worried that an option of this kind would break the game, because everyone would flock to the ''winning side''. I don't think this arguement makes sense because you can do that anyways! Let's say Aldmeri Dominion is the better performing guild recently and some people want to be there because of this (for some reason). Players can just re-roll and choose that alliance, so you can actually still change sides however you please and so far there are no problems with the balance! But again, just leaving eveything behind and starting all over is too much of a burden for me for such a small wish

AND I think enabling this would also deepen the story in a way.

THANKS :)

You only have to get to level 50 with alts, and then you gain all the CP that your first character has. It is much, much easier than it used to be.

only if its a one time thing, I don't want people who betray the ad master race to downgrade to the argonian sympathizing ep and then come back to ad later

...and we have been talking about it for ages now, yeah.
Still, they are not exactly too likely to just add that, yes?

And in any case, it ought to be more then just a... "poof", you are somehow magically member of a new alliance!

I mean, it ought to be an epic storyline, some DLC (see ZOS, you can make profit from this idea!) with an "spycraft" theme, and a "faction loyalty called in question" flavor, where halfway through you get to make a big choice for your character - stay loyal and find out who framed you, or defect to a different alliance!
With the rest of the DLC going different ways depending on what you choose - either you hunt after the true culprit, dodge agents sent to bring you in for trason, find the evidence you need to restore your good name and emerge victorious... or... you dodge the agents sent to bring you in for treason while making contact with one of the other alliances, preparing your escape and grabbing some juicy secrets on your way out...
Such a story could take a character all over their original alliance, and other places as well, possibly centering on some neurtel city-state ofr something where spies from all factions meet to spy hard (think like cold war era vienna...); reusing old maps from bygone questings with new mobs, and giving out nifty titles depending on your characters fate... like "[original faction] Loyalist" or "[original faction] Defector"...

And there could be more! Whenever the topic comes up some people worry about PvP impact, in an "Oh, everyone will want to join the winning team" kind of way... but that could be balanced by making defection have consequences there. Like... maybe earning only half AP for six months as your new allies only slowly start to trust the "defector", or perhaps even earning no new AP until you re-earned your old PvP rank? And there definitely ought to be increased rewards for people from your original faction if they take you down on the battlefield, because...

It is much easier than before but still level 50 is no easy task again just to experience another alliance where we could just do it end game. And it is not only the level, for me at least the learned crafts etc. also count. I'm a mad collectionist. Plus, I just basically don't want to abandone my character, I've been playing with the same one for years. I quite like it. Did I sound too whiny? Lol.

YESS that's what I was trying to imply on (with less detail  ), when I mentioned getting another questline after the Cadwell's Gold!

    1. Level 50 can be reached in a week, some people do it in a day or two.
    2. I recommend maxing crafting on all alts and using all your alt slots for the hireling mats and for doing master writs in the various times that they become valuable.
    3. I've completed a majority of in-game achievements on my main, but it is nice to have alts, particularly of other classes to explore/complete more of the game. I mean, how can you collect achievements in the game if you've only really mastered one of the classes? You are missing out on so much of the game content/experience.

You can use your CP at level 1.

Like said above, you have it immediately.

Now craft hunding´s training gear, get dual wield and enjoy spinning through every zone like a one-man meat processing plant.

That is more accurate, what I should have said is that you essentially are max level on your second character after reaching level 50 (can use CP 160 gear and consumables).Leveling alts is so much more easier than leveling them separately through vet levels. I leveled 3 through v14/16 and another through v6 before the change. That change seriously eased the grind. Leveling alts now, especially with CP at level 1 on alts, is easy and quick.

    dude dude dude,

I just don't want to start over in any case. It is just not my playing style, the same thing goes for many other people as I saw. Yes you CAN start over and change your alliance, but what about having the opportunity to do so with your recent character for once? That's my point. If I can change my covenant I will probably keep on playing multiplayer after the Cadwell's Gold, if not the game would be pretty much over for me doing the same thing over and over.

Thank you for the explanation anyways my friend.
