Why is it possible to be hit with Danwbreaker two times in a row?

I haven't played ESO or PVP in a long time, so someone help me understand. Every time I look at the recap I see two Dawnbreakers from the same person back to back.

The initial impact and then the dot damage. It's not two.

There is a dot involved. Certain that is not the dot you are seeing?

here's the tooltip:

Arm yourself with Meridia's sacred sword and dispense her retribution, dealing 1029 Physical Damage to enemies in front of you and an additional 1191 Physical Damage over 5 seconds.

i used to always wonder the same exact thing...

hands down - i've had more dawnbreakers show up on my death recap over the years more than any other ultimate...really sucks if your a vamp or transformed werewolf and the person hitting you has the "skilled tracker" passive...

Oh right, I'm a vamp too. Lol, and thanks didn't realize it was the same thing just the initial and then the dot.

Since most classes don't have a stam ult or a decent one, DB has been rampant for over 1.5 years. I've dropped vamp on every mag toon because of it and it was the best decision I ever made. Not to mention all those damn Dk's and siege.
