ZOS why did u nerf MagWarden? I want my money back!

Hello,
1 Week befor summerset went online, i subscribed for 3 months in ESO. I´m just a normal player who likes his warden very much, because its the only "druid like" class in this game. I used my crowns to change my charakters race to a high elf, because if wanted to play a magwarden more efficiantely. Well, i wasnt aware of the incomming patch notes and now, with the nerf of deep fissure, as a magwarden, i dont have ANY stun left to use.

Why the hell was this done? It´s totaly unfair, that magwardens hardly can kill a crab while beeing a stamwarden is like beeing a God. (Tested myself)

The arguments of the developers, to change skills which make high damage in that way, that they have short duration/ or limited side effect, is just a Lie! Or pls ZOS can u explain to me why skills like dizzying Swing stil do a high amount of dmg while stunning, too?
Magwarden was one of the underperforming classes before summerset and it is even weaker now. WHY?!? WWHHHHY!?!?

I mean, I’m hopeful and confident that they’ll actually balance the class one day. At the moment, I’ve shelved mine and will be maining a NB leech tank for SS. So at least that powerfantasy is back and kicking. Warden is just a missed opportunity in so many ways.

Also, repeated application of Defile or Durok’s (same but better) absolutely neuters Stamdens. They have no counter or easy dispel of it, either. As soon as you do that or roll a NB it’s GG. The whole class is mediocre to decent (never great) in all specs.

Learn to roleplay and make the best out of what you got - you might find, that it is eventually even more fun, to not have the best setup, but where there is room for some experimenting and finding that playstyle which works best. I have played my altmer for example as a stamina based player for quite a while and she did well. Then I made her magicka based and she still has to adapt to this, because her skill sets are more developed in the stamina direction. Finally I tried then a hybrid setup, letting her use as well magicka based and stamina based skills and weapons - and voila, she is a lot of fun to play now.

Experiment a little more.

Lol. We had been screaming about it on the PTS for a month. Unfortunately PTS isn't meant for class changes feedback. ZOS does whatever they want with the classes and has a completely different understanding of what balance is than we do.

I put my warden away and stripped him of all gold and consumables, since there isn't any buffs on the horizon and nerfs are aplenty.

Its so funny - people often whine about not having a challenge in the game - and now they got one, namely to play a character and class, which is not by default overpowered, and now they whine again - where is the pride to be a really good player with a class and skill choice, which is not obviously the absolute best -but which they can anyway make an awesome character.

You got your challenge - now make the best out of it.

With the recently added Class Representative Program thing, all classes are going to be reworked one way or another. So don’t riot just yet, leave your feedback so it can be taken into consideration.

why should they refund a race change for what you claim is a class problem? you do understand they arent the same thing right?

You are totally wrong and i assume u are just trolling. I really like it when it is challenging and i tried to be competetive since i first played the warden since morrowind and i know what i do. I tested many different setups and if u would have done the same, you would be at the same opinion: Magwarden is the worst class ingame. Just tell me how many Magwardens you see and how many shield spammming ultra high dmg doing AND beeing tanky sorcs you see. It seems to be a fact, that ZOS doesen´t seem to know what they are doing because they buff strong classes and nerf weaker classes.

Yeah, unfortunately you don't have any in-class hard CC now.

Fortunately, your out-of-class options (clench/reach) were already more consistent, so it's not the biggest nerf in the world.

A much better idea than this topic would have been to state your misconception of what will be coming in the patch to customer support in a nice and friendly way and ask them for if they could let you change to another race instead for free, because you were unaware of the coming changes and did not play this race for long as well. They are people, who make sometimes mistakes as well, and might be generous in your case and let you do it. Just ask them nicely and don't demand it. They do not have to do it, but they might be fair and let you do it anyway.

Edit: And regardless what people claim about unfriendliness or non-responsive customer support - that's just not true. I had to use customer support a few times and they were fast, friendly and solved the problem on hand rather quickly. So just try it.

No, I am not trolling, I am just a roleplayer, who does not expect to get all handed on a silver platter. I am perfectly happy with some decent character, which is somewhat unique and does his/her thing in his/her very own way. I use weapons where people say, they wouldn't be good, and race/stats setup,where people would disprove as well,but I am enjoying them. I have character builds, were min/maxer would cry out in pain looking at my setup, but I can play them quite well this way. I do not have any really good gear, but I adapted my playstyle to what my character can do well or not do well - I play it from a character's perspective and my challenge as a player is to roleplay them and respect the attitude and mentality, which my characters develop over time by the experiences these characters make. This might sound insane for someone not roleplaying, but that is what I do - and the challenge here is, to make the best out of what those characters got.

I hope so, but some of those very same people who got picked for class reps did a lot of testing and write ups on the PTS that got ignored at least for now. Who knows maybe they will listen in the future.

The entire magwarden skill line needs to be redone. It should be far more druid like. More types of battle pets. This coud easily fit with the entire body of lore.

That's not how this works. Wardens still make overland a joke. But they also make endgame a chore.

Even the worst class in the game can one shot overland mobs.

Customer service is great. This has nothing to do with customer service though. This is Wrobel and his balance team ignoring warden feedback for over a year now after taking our money.

You can hit 40k+ with any set. Siroria + Zaan brings you closer to 50k.

And lo and behold a paid DLC comes along with a Stun in the new Skill line lol.
