What are Achievement Points used for?

Like are they there just to be there? Or could we get a special motif/costume/weapon or armor set/or something for getting the achievement bar all the way up?

Achievement points include much more than just PvE.

Crafting, PvP, and Housing are subcategories too ...

Mostly dyes and titles for actual achievements. Points themselves are just that.

There is no use for them past comparing the number of achievements points vs others.

It's a nice metric for seeing how complete you are with them vs friends, but far from a perfect system for measuring skill or ability.

I'm a little suspicious of AS skins at the moment, but vMA clears? Most of those are legit. Way less than 9 out of 10. Just because you can't no-death CoH2, doesn't mean it's impossible.

As others have covered, they are sadly useless. It was my biggest disappointment early on.

Kept getting these popups for stuff and then realized i could see in the journal things i had missed. Went wild to tick a few off then realized its all pointless (excuse the pun)

Sure for the completer finishers out there that's their game, and fair enough. But my point is there's no functional point.

I actually thing the points, and the costume rewards for certain ones aren't healthy. I.e. People wanting Emp 'Just to tick it off' really isn't a great mindset.

Achievement and their points are important for keeping us in good mood, they are there like any other part of the game. They are a key to see that we progress in game, do something all the time or work on something very hard, face new challenges, have some goals ahead. The more achievements the better, as there is always something ahead of us that needs to be completed, solo or with others. Ultimately having friend you can compare your points for fun and even compete .

The achievements can be used to unlock dyes, costumes, titles, and the ability to purchase certain houses and furnishings.

The points are nothing more than an overall 'score' and the achievements are interesting little side things you can pursue if you enjoy that sort of thing.

Sadly, the points themselves, say being able to 'purchase' something with Achievement Points, serve no real purpose.

As opposed to AP ranks, which generally show how many times you can capture a lumber mill or the same 6 keeps.

I wish there was at least an achievement points leader board lol... Or maybe milestone rewards where you could pick something like how leveling up you get a choice between certain weapons. Or a special crafting style that unlocks only when you fill up the bar lol... Adding any reward would be awesome, and it'd get more players things to do, which could translate into more money for zos... Just sayin'.

Honestly, I get the achievements because a friend of mine passed away from Kidney Failure and he asked me to finish what we started and complete all the games achievements. Not Bragging rights, just my friends last wish for me.

One non-achievement I was very surprised about was getting to the milestone of 60/60/60 in riding, and nothing...Not a sausage of recognition. Never understood that.
