A few thoughts on Summerset

Without being exhaustive I'd like to chime in about the outline of this new chapter.
Summerset is beautiful! Again, big kudos for those who designed the world as artistically as possible! I am somehow not fond of the original Auridon-kind of look, it's nice but too generic to me - I also wasn't making haste to buy the Summerset chapter but I needed only 10 minutes staring at my wife's screen as her character was walking through Alinor to secure an upgrade to myself as well.
The whole look of the island and Artaeum is grand - that gothic and German/Saxon infuse of style injected into white stones shooting up high is something I really enjoy looking at. Lovely sea shore, and
I also noticed that the machicolation on the round towers now have been designed properly with murder holes (ok, they don't funcion but it's a nice addition of accuracy)!
I can just applaud for that nicely, elegantly but firmly put reflection on some actual cultural/political thematics in the main questline! On top of that I can't stop smiling on the characteristics of the high elfs, they are as annoying and arrogant on a high horse as they can be and I would rather cut these NPCs into ribbons on-site than helping them with any quests done but this option unfortunately is not available just yet :P
The new furnishing style is classy, reminds me to my grandmother's stuff mixed with some town council chamber-environment. I guess I'll have a good few recipes to learn! And stairs! We can have stairs! The new town house property is elegant, I just can't explain why that terribly high fence in the balcony blocking that magnificent view on the city - a bit of missed opportunity.
I'm on the fence with the new skill line, having mostly stamina characters I may pass on most of it.
So thank you for the great artwork, the new additions to the already marvellous lore, I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this chapter, it certainly penetrated my preconceptions!
I surely will not roll any high elf characters but enjoy my orcness in slicing them to pieces and taking a walk on the beautiful seashore in the sunset...
