I inherited a guild with a now semi-relevant name

so close to a year ago i joined a guild called Direnni. It pretty much failed quickly and the guildmaster rage quit and left the guild to me...bc i wasnt rly into being guildmaster i just keep it around for the juicy bankspace. Now summerset has come and I realize its a relevant name. I would like to somehow profit but, I don't know if that sort of thing is allowed or if its just a word of mouth type of trade. Either way it would be good to know.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. How exactly do you want to profit from it?

He wants to sell the guild name. Whether it's allowed or not, caveat emptor. I think it's a great way for one side of the deal to get scammed, but that's just me.

Is guild title named and represent lore?

Let me try and be less scammy not trying to misdeal with anyone. Yes I would like to sell a guild name but, again I don't know if that's allowed or not. I would like to be above board if possible. It is named 'Direnni' and yes I assume the person that started it had the lore in mind. I know there are a lot of harcore roleplayers out there that like to sync with lore and then there is me sitting on this guild name for the bankspace. Figure if anyone who really wanted the guild name for a more productive purpose I would be happy to sell out.

Hmm I unsure. Reason why I believe others say what. It's honestly unheard of. Especially me a Veteran since 2014. This is honestly first time to hear of this. I want contact zos but yeah.


Maybe you 3 could please help out. Is it legal or no legal? In honestly to play it safe, you open should delete the guild.to be safe side. At same time please take screenwriter of all guild names or do much harder. Write names down. But before pictures and before delete guild.

Write a 4 day warning before delete guild. You be surprised how many would leave. But if your well liked, shouldn't be people leaving. But still make warning first.then screen shot and or write. Then delete. Remake guild with new name you like. Yes to Might be a hassle. But better to do right instead of getting banned. If it possible.

Supposing you don’t sell the guild for IRL money, it’s fine. Just invite whomever wants the guild name, have them give you an agreed upon amount of in-game gold/goods, promote them to guildmaster. It’s just like selling anything else in game.

I don't see why anyone, including Lore geeks, would pay for such a thing as a guild name. Why don't they just call their guild e.g. "Clan Direnni" or "Direnni Tower"?

On a side note, my character names "Orcano of Alinor" and "Rielle Direnni" were made before Summerset was even announced. Neither did I know that there would be an Elder Scroll of Altadoon in the game when I created my account.
Perhaps my other character called Kiara al-Taneth becomes relevant when they add the town of Taneth in Hammerfell to some future DLC?

Long story short, there are numerous lore enthousiasts in the game and this happens all the time. There is no money in this as the lore has a huge number of names to choose from.
I'd just say delete your guild, you're not gonna gain anything from it.

There are people that will buy guilds with decent sized rosters to use as bank guilds, but I've never heard of someone just buying the name.

I seriously doubt any guild name is has much value. I doubt bank could be made on a guild name.

As someone stated, you can probably sell the bank space.
