For Undaunted Skill Line Level Up

Anyway to bypass the dungeons? My Internet can't handle dungeons without to many death's of me. I hesitate to join my friends, dungeons to. Eventhough they ask me to, since I'm healer. I'm bad healer, dead healer no good. Also where do I get Undaunted unlocked? I thought have to sign a book from hotels. I don't see anyone for me sign a book in Undaunted. I talked every npc but no luck. Also could 5,1,1 be able to level up Undaunted passive instead of doing dungeons? Many thanks in advance.

You can do the undaunted daily delve to advance the line. It's really rather slow but keeps you out of dungeons.

After L45 you get the invite to the enclave and the chat to pledge givers to start pledges.

Undaunted is in your first town. Pact go to the stinky fish in Devons watch an do their intro chat. Then you do a dungeon and off you go.

Get a group of good mates. 3 strong DPS. They will be patient if you DK and really don't need a healer. But thru dungeons on Vet, no death (hard if you DC), speed run, hard mode and you can u lock L9 in a few weeks pretty casual time.

...also you can do the Undaunted achievements - like this one's on me (think that's what it's called) where you go to taverns across Tamriel to buy Undaunted members drinks.

Also dungeon (I know there's that word again) achievements - hear me out - go into public dungeons (no grouping req'd so no worries if your internet fails) and complete achievements there. These count towards Undaunted as well.

Btw I get your apprehension with grouping. Same here, internet cuts out without any warning on me too. I hate the thought of risking letting groups down.

Got mine to 10 in a week by running all of the vet dungeons with hard mode. You get like 25 to 50 undaunted points for completing each the first time. That's if you don't have any of the achievements unlocked for that dungeon. I also wait for at least 5 minutes if a group member drops. Not something a lot of PUGs do, but if you give them a heads up about your internet most will wait.

If you go under Journal>Achievements>Dungeons or Vet Dungeons. Running a vet hard mode for the first time will grant you 3 or 4 achievements worth 5-10 points. No death and speed run will give you a couple more.

Thanks for these advice. I'm goad there is a way for both of us with bad Internet. Like you and me for example. Buying a drinks does really sound fun. But the achievements when I solo, is that from the journal? ( I'm not PvE person, nor do achievement no offense) thanks for tips to :)

Sorry didn't see this until just now. Yes that's correct. Just check for it in your journal under achievements as there is no quest-giver for the "This One's On Me" achievement. It's considered a dungeon achievement I think.

Also, I have solo'ed a number of the normal dungeons (dungeons like Crypt of Hearts I for example) by myself. I'm a tank and have made a few adjustments to get better dps. I find them challenging but not impossible. Veteran ('II' dungeons) you will probably need a group. You may want to give soloing the normal dungeons a try. You might suprise yourself.

Again sorry for my late reply.

I don't use DK, my main a heal magplar also. (I haven't damage for DPS to) I'll see if I can ask some friends to do it. I know for sure I'll get kicked out of groups. But few weeks that is really awesome though :)

You get an achievement and skill point for your first completion, normal or vet. Vet just tacks on an extra 2 or 3 achievements. Also, doing normal pledges will net you 10 points when turned in.

Curious here. Why go healer if you don't do dungeons? Healer is not really a soloists role, and there's no need for it in open world content. It seems like you should shift that around to being a DPS with a self heal or two.

Anyway... I think there's a daily undaunted quest - that often sends you to solo delves and solo quests. It seems to be the fastest way to level undaunted anyway...

Also... for dungeons... if you're internet is bad, just stay out of vet dungeons. I healed in a normal yesterday on my new level 20 Templar - while my latency was spiking between 400 to 900... People don't take enough damage for it to be critical in those... Unless you get one of the higher DLC ones and a group of people that 'stand in the fire'...
    - It might be painful, but it's doable for undaunted (unless there's higher undaunted stuff out there that requires vet or raid, I must concede that I haven't gotten to that point in this game yet).

I always PvP, healing Magplar since DC on PS4 EU 2015. Way to many damage dealer in PvP. Less healing, in PvP. I'm usually the only healer when I get on at nights to. Least Shor EP has less healers. DC are mostly healing tanks. I humiliated everyone everytime I die, in PvP. Especially only healer. Many times I beg for other healers in EP PvP zone. My cries are in vain. When I done, they go down with me. But damage is very popular. EP greatest mistakes. But that healing orb, from undaunted. I have always wanted that orb. Never got the chance due to my Internet issues. I don't really forgot last time I got teabaged in dungeon to. But with Summer Set changes, I really need that now. Before June 5th. I do like normal dungeon way better. Sounds like not really serious then veteran. I really want do trials to, but no go lol. Sigh. Thanks for letting me know about solo dungeon to. I hope the Cyrodiil ones count to.

Thanks to, I think even though veteran is better. Least sound like to me. I feel now that normal dungeon are best bet for me, especially buying those drinks. I've also looked up, we get a mug. So that's allusion as well for me :)

Also, the undaunted quest giver for the repeatable daily quests actually gives 3 or 4 random ones a day. I believe you get 15 pts the first time and then 10 afterwards. You can have friends share the quest, so you can do multiple each day like a lot of other dailys. It will take a while, but you will get there eventually. If I am leveling undaunted on a toon, I do the daily while I wait for my queue to pop.

I would recommend at least trying to do most of the non DLC dungeons on normal. Even with really bad ping, they should be pretty easy for even the worst groups.

Definitely NOT true. Perhaps you are too good for your group to be horrible. Bad groups often can't complete even normal DLC dungeons at all.

Group finder put into a group that was halfway through normal WGT. I was doing a random normal as a tank and early on it was clear that it was taking a while to kill mobs in between bosses. We couldn't even really dent the second to last boss's health and we kept wiping. We disbanded and I chose random group finder again and ended up in the nWGT again, but with a different group. We just cleared everything with little effort and the mobs that took a while to kill previously just melted away.

Bad groups can can easily mean incredibly low DPS, which is really bad news.

On the bright side, I got a bunch of SPC on both runs.

To get the skill line, you have to talk to the Undanted group in your starter city (for example, for AD they can be found at the inn in Vulkhel Guard), you complete a short quest, and then you acquire the skill line. You can do dungeons to level it, and then at level 45, you can also do pledges and a daily quest (acquired at the Undaunted Enclave). This daily can be shared, so if you find a group of people, you can grab and share the quest in turns between you. There is also an achievement called ‘This one’s on me’ where you buy a drink for an Undaunted member in major cities in the three factions, and there are also dungeon quests and dungeon-associated achievements that all raise the skill line. Finally, you can also do a random normal dungeon from the group finder that also counts. Don’t be afraid to run dungeons, with the new system, you’ll be placed in a dungeon suitable to your level, and people are usually (hopefully) understanding if you are still learning the ropes. Doing dungeons and the daily is the best way to level the line on a first character (those who have alt toons with max level, also do veteran dungeon achievements to quickly level the skill line on their alt).

Healer is an magic build, simply switch to an simple magic dps setup on overland, you can do all overland as an templar healer running spc using only the destro staff. See no reason to make her a dps set just for questing.
Now an all into health tank might have so low dps its slow, you would want dps gear here, this is also nice on non tauntable bosses or easy content there you can fake tank it, especially if dps is horrible.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
