Riposte CP passive proc'ing on ranged abilities?

This passive from The Atronach CP tree says it has a 15% chance to proc on when a melee damage is blocked.
I play a ranged magicka Nightblade and I have this thing showing up on my death recap on more then one occasion.
To me this is either a big and needs fixing or the passive needs to be described differently.

Jakx✭✭✭✭✭It's consistently proc'd on me in pvp. The ability clearly says when an attacker "melee attacks". Bad news, I dont have any melee attacks on a magicka damage dealer and this ability is proc'ing on me consistently.
