How/When do I unlock Psijic Skill Line?

MalsvirIxen
So I made it to the home of the Psijic and got the quest to close the time rifts but didn't get the skill line. I heard closing the rifts levels up the Psijic Skill Line. So how do I get the Psijic Skill line?

You have to do the first rift quest in summerset. If you're closing rifts around summerset, then you have to finish those

Okay so I just got that quest. Have to find the Augur and then close a rift in Summerset and that will unlock it?

Yes, after you get the augur and close rifts around summerset, you'll get the skill line when you turn the quest

You have only scratched the surface. First 9 unlock the line, then you basically do it again in a different zone (or 3) for each level. Probably time to turn on netflix and make some coffee.

Wow, so pretend im not really there? Thats the advice for tying to ignore back pain or a hernia. I hope its more fun than that when I actually get there.

Yup, find Alcast's guide, print the maps, find some music on youtube, turn off your brain and run around stressfree for a few hours

Or use the Harvens Map markers extended plugin and import the right data files which can be found on various threads around here. Then you just have them on your in game map.

You finish the Queen's Decree quest by reaching Arthaeum trough a portal, go into Ceporah tower and speak to a couple of NPCs. You'll get sent to retrieve the Augury of the Obscure (talking skull) from a Summerset delve, then close portals in Summerset, then various other areas about a dozen times. It's quite quick if you have already explored those, know the general area and especially quest locations and have the shrines discovered. The maps have the main roads, settlements, and major landmarks sketched on them, though some of the crosses are a bit off from the actual portal locations. Once you are close to a portal you'll receive a prompt to activate the skull, and it will start talking, most of the time giving you hints about the portal location, like "it's near a waterfall" or "in the tower" etc. Overall it's not that hard, and each quest takes 20-30 minutes to do, rewarding a random equipment box at the end and 1 rank in the Psijic skill line. Overall the quest line is pretty bland, but easy and short.
