I originally purchased the Imperial edition of the game and I STILL haven't found that motif...good find! You would definitely get a huge chunk of change selling that. As for Summerset replacing the Imperial Edition in that sense, i'm not entirely sure. The IE gave you the ability to convert armor to the Imperial style, play as an Imperial and the white horse. From what I know, there's currently no other way to obtain those things unless you buy the Imperial edition upgrade. Like kringled_1 said above, the motif was always discoverable in the overworld as a 'rare drop'.
Sell, hmmmmm, should've thought about that. But I read it instead, so perhaps I can sell armor crafted Imperial style to my guild. Thanks for the answers, though.
By the way, I asked about Summerset replacing it because as far as I can find, the Imperial Edition is no longer for sale in the ESO store.
... I have the Standard Edition, not the Imperial Edition of the game, so this motif escaped me all this time. Does that mean that Summerset Isles opens up that bit, that we don't need the IE version anymore? It doesn't say a thing about it in the patch notes.

Unlocking the imperial edition is now a crown store purchase. And yes the native in game version is rare. I have found and sold about 8 or nine since I started playing. And I recently sold one for 100k
