Bottle drop rate?

Like many of you, I tried my luck on getting some sweet pyandolean motif, by fishing in summerset.
However, after depleting 20 fishing spots, I've yet to find a single bottle ..

Is it supposed to be that rare or am I just unlucky? Is there a prerequisite I'm not aware of?
I know the motif will be in crown crates, but this is getting a tad ridiculous.

Simply RNG I'm afraid.

First cast in Summerset and I got one. Just keep at it and you'll get one

I've found probably over a dozen. Only found 1 motif so far.

*edited to say that I fished at every spot I found all day long. Probably at least 30 different spots.

I've found 5 bottles so far. One had the swords motif (the motif includes one and two handed sword crafing), one had the shoulder motif, the other 3 had sea serpent skin.

This may or may not have any bearing, but the two that had motifs were found in river fishing holes. I've fished the coast from Alinor, moving counter clockwise along the coast, and stopped at the North end of Summerset. When I got to the northern part of Summerset I found 3 bottles. The 3 from the sea coast had Sea Serpent Skin. This was the first and, thus far, the only time/place I've found Sea Serpent Skin. Maybe just a coincidence, but the *Sea* Serpent Skin were found in *sea* fishing holes. And as I wrote, my motifs were found in rivers. Could just be anecdotal though.

I've had the best luck with worm bait, guts were second best. I had crap resuts with crawlers, insect parts, minnows, and one other bait I can't remember the name of right now. Really, I just use worms and guts, and of those two, worms really. I've gotten one epic salmon, blue quality scallops (or some similar shell food), and a ton of green quality fish.

Other baits either produce used bait or common quality longfin and some fish that starts with the letter "d". It's common af. So much so, I don't even bother to remember the name. Ain't worth my brain's memory space. Lol

I usually take an hour lunch break and fish up 3-5 bottles in that time.

The baits correspond to certain types of water, otherwise you will get used bait. Worms or chub for ocean, guts and minnows for lakes, insects and shad for rivers and crawlers and fish roe for foul water.

The fishing holes drop two filletable fish, 1 bait type, 2 green fish, 1 blue fish, assorted furnishings and the Pynadonean bottles (which are the summerset version of Wet Gunny Sacks in other zones).

I've gotten plenty of bottles from ocean holes, just because I fish those since they are easy to find. The drop rate for bottles seems similar to wet gunny sacks from other zones.

I've gotten maybe 50+ bottles from fishing occasionally, got 4 motifs. I fish when I want to read or watch something and I just have my finger on E to pick them back up, so I'm pretty happy with the drop rate.

About the same as gunny sacks. As for the motifs, I can't say since 6/6 of mine haven't dropped anything.

Does anyone know if their drop chance increases when more people are fishing with you and/or if the new bufffood does increase it?
