Stupid question but is there not an intro quest to Summerset?

I know you can just wayshrine or jump on the boat but is there no quest to tell you to go there?

Something I didn't think to look at on the PTS.

There's a quest for existing characters through the Crown Store. Choose the free Mages Guild Message Stone from Vanus Galerion to start it. I dont think it takes you to Summerset?

You can also start Summerset through the Help Menu by looking at Stories and starting the quest there.

Or you can start a new character.

There was a quest from the crown store, that was free for existing characters a while ago. I think before the chapter went into PTS. Check your crown store.

I've already done that quest months ago, just thought there would be a "it's happening" sort of quest or even just a flyer telling people summerset is open rather than expecting the player just to wayshrine there.

Might sound pointless but immersion and all that...

As far as I'm aware (and I did look) there's no questgiver on the mainland who specifically directs you to Summerset. If they exist, they're hiding remarkably well.

It's no longer in the crown store, but Vanus Galerion is said to be still in the mages guild - I haven't checked that out tho.

Why did they remove it? It didn't hurt anyone and it was a nice prologue I hoped - I didn't want to start it before purchasing the Summerset. And now it's gone.

Hmm, you'd think that the quest starter in your Collection tab would point to that quest, instead of just saying "Go to Summerset!"

yeah, that's how i started my story, but to be fair... its not like the game is super obvious about it, i completely forgot that this was a thing, becasue unlike previous DLC's it didn;t send me in game mail about it. was reminded by a guildy.

Yes! I think that's the most "legitimate" way to start this quest.

I'm a freak for good quest starters, I don't like being dumped in a strange land and then just roaming it in a search for someone to give me the quest to know why i'm there in the first place.

I ran all over Wayrest looking for one but never found one. If Vanus was in the Mages guild I didn't notice him but honestly I was looking for quest markers not specific characters.

I did find a navigator on the dock that took me to Summerset. Annoying there wasn't a quest though.

@Osteos You can find him in starter Mage's guild halls. Glenumbra, Stonefalls and Auridon. So, depending on your alliance, if you want to visit Vanus Galerion to start the Summerset quest, visit one of those places.

Ok, stupid follow up quest - at the end of the starter quest, the guy says "go to summerset" but doesn't actually leave a breadcrumb to follow - did I miss something?
