WebGet Request Failed error in updating

Hi ZOS and others who may be able to help,
I get this error with the updates today and the launcher does not go further.
I tried your official list (adding exceptions on firewall/antivirus etc) with no avail, the repair option doesn't work either (it also ends up having the same WebGet Request Failed error).
I read in other topics that VPN could help but I'll not pay for a VPN sub just to download the patch.
I also would not be happy to reinstall the whole game as it's a monstrous 85GB and with my broadband speed it'd take more than a week.
Is there anything elso I could do to help me in this situation?
