Ummmm....bathrooms?

Why are there no bathrooms or washrooms in this game? Or any mmo come to think of it.

My character needs a spot to poo and clean up while I log out!

It’s a fantasy. If you fantasize about bathrooms and associated functions, this game probably isn’t for you.

you spend the first part of the game as an undead soulless vestige running around slaughtering anything an everything without hesitation but your main concern is bathrooms?

i think you need to sit down and rethink your life.... something has gone seriously wrong somewhere.

honestly, after I saw this discussion come up several times on the forums the first year I had joined - I thought to myself - yeah, okay, i can kind of understand someone's wonderment with public and private waste disposal sites...

it's well over a dozen now I've seen various forms of the same...

it's a fantasy setting...but, yeah, they added in water basins/chamber pots...

my understanding though - in certain regions there was indoor plumbing/waste removal as early as 3 BC over in northern africa...up to the third floor (whatever height that may have been)...

the romans are easily identifiable with their bath houses and public washrooms...i'm sure the greeks and the folks living in china from an even much earlier time had some well thought out systems...

i'm okay though traveling around in a world without toilets everywhere

Chamber pots are really it. Add magika and a spell to banish the residue to coldharbor -or- a collection point where it can be baked at a few thousand degrees then ground to a powder that makes a good [safe] fertilizer. Hate the be that fire wizard. [Redacted] job for real.

I take advice from the Colonel from BFF and use a bucket, so I only assume all the buckets and crates in the game also have poo in the bottom. That's what I would do anyway. Enjoy your Guarana!

Its dark ages use a bucket or a stream... Honestly toilets never existed back then..

look under the beds in houses, in most houses, beds that don't go all the way down - will have urns under the beds. aka chamber pots.

incidentally, first mmo that comes to mind, WoW. has outhouses. so many outhouses. and poop jokes. and poop quests. so.. there's that?

Well its a set in a medieval era/time zone....they didn't have bathrooms back then. It was pots and buckets that you chucked outside.

You can make your own, just put the Breton chair with just to the back stilling out of a wall or whatever, then a bucket under it. Boom, Toilet. Then put a pitcher sideways out of the wall with a wash basin below it, boom sink, then some toiletries shelves and your done.

It's been theorized that Starfleet personnel will hardly ever need it, though, since their food is materialized in such an efficient way by their Replicators that all of it is fully absorbed by the body and there is no waste. The toilets would be used mainly by any guests that have had 'real' food on the surface of a planet prior to boarding the ship.

To get back to ESO..
I've seen some tubs and something I could only describe as.. 'cleaning corners' in some houses?
But I've never run into an actual bathroom or toilet. Think our poor characters will have to make do with chamber pots.

The river coming out of Daggerfall is crystal clear despite running past a mine and a town with no visible sign of plumbing. Maybe they all dump the poo and other nasty stuff down in Bad Man's Hallows, and that's why the Daedra is so angry
