Tomorrow, how to make gold ez and get set for jewl making and upgrading

So tomorrow jewelcrafting comes with deconstruction and improvement... but judging from the prices o f mats when IC came out, it wont be cheap for the first few weeks or maybe months. So here is a quick tip on how to make bare dolla tomorrow.

In cyrodil each of the towns has a box that contains just weapons and jewelry. Ancient grace at cropsford, vengeance leach at bruma and potentates at vlastarus respectively. as i said, these sets just drop weapons and jewelry. all drops are PURPLE. so u can prob get where i am going. simply just go bung all your ap on these boxes and deconstruct the rings and necklaces that you get. the drop chance from these is super high already, ask anyone who has farmed desert rose, alteration mastery, morag tong or raveging ect. then you can sell all these jewls or keep them for your own projects.

Note: dont forget u can only do this after the patch drops. plz dont blame me for wasted ap or time or whatever if this doesn't work for me.

these boxes are 12k ap each.... these certain boxes only drop jewl and weapons so chance is much higher, thus it makes it accessible for anyone and everyone who wants the mats. most of the people with 4-5 mill ap will be investing in bloodthirsty but as with anything, the more ap u have the higher returns u will get.

I've been saving the champion caches from Vivec for a few campaigns now - my fingers are crossed that if I wait to open those caches til after summerset goes live they'll be coded for deconstruction...

otherwise i'm gonna have about 80 or so pieces of relatively worthless pvp jewelry to get rid of...

i think alot of people have been doing that too. at least u got the tranmute geodes for changing current heavy sets.

Or just do dolnens if you don't have AP. Guaranteed jewellery drop from the chest at the end. Green, blue, or purple quality, but it's free and super quick.

dolmens and buying pvp boxes...gonna be doing this like mad all week.

yeah, Alik'r will be crowded even more. But i don't understand why people go there instead of Deshaan. In Deshaan, dolmens are closer to the wayshrines, and there's better sets which can drop.

I have 10 characters, umpteen sets - and, yet still I have "thousands" of those crystals stored in inventory ...

i'm saving writ vouchers now to try to buy a station for my home...hopefully it'll encourage me to utilize them more...those unopened geodes are clogging my inventory...

Edit: good point about the viability of heavy, and, being able to give it an even stronger stamina or magicka feel now that we can also re-work the jewelry traits...

I will probably farm keys and any telvar i can hold onto just get the herbs.

Although taking a resto staff and spaming heals makes good ap. So thats an option.

Kinda sick of the dolmen geind but i might grind up some toons but im guessing the low lvl drops are going to suck for decon.

That's not a bad idea but since pvp isn't really my thing I'll probably be doing dolmens and random dungeons. Although I do still want to go back at some point so I can unlock the dyes maybe this is a good excuse. XD

The dailies are about the only content that pretty much bombards you with set piece rewards. Each little fetch quest gives one of the set pieces associated with the town, and each town is associated with light, medium or heavy armor. Some of those sets are actually useful, too. Each quest is exceptionally easy and can be knocked out very quickly.

If you really want to efficiently farm these quests use an add-on to swap in 3 pieces of Cyrodiil's Ward set for the +15% mounted speed boost, and use rapid maneuvers (I use an addon to swap that in when mounted, too).

The quests are generally pretty far away from PvP objectives, but the towns can be pretty active and if you run into an organized group farming the town it's probably best to skedaddle and go to another town, or come back later, if you're not a PvPer. Also note that the NPCs themselves in town can be a little rough in non-CP campaigns if you're not used to them.

Simple solution is to grab some guildies and do them as a group. High rate of reward vs. effort.

From the sound of that post, probably not good news for those who are saving their caches. The key is that the change doesn't effect the cache's obtained after Summerset. So I imagine they made sure that any stored caches had code to render the jewelry useless for decon. Something that they wouldn't want to effect post Summerset caches.

i'm not gonna even bother selling them all, may just donate/dump them in to a guild bank...
