Once update 18 drops there are multicore improvements, so if you wish to compare core usage now is the time to establish a baseline.

I already tested mine on the PTS. Core usage seemed slightly more spread than on live, but Core 1 was definitely still taking the bulk of the load. Didn't see much in-game improvement - a fluxuating 5-10 FPS difference in busiest areas, running on highest settings with all add-ons off. Open areas saw no difference.

I suspect the reason I didn't see much improvement is because I didn't have much room to improve. I'm running an i7-7700k, one of the best-rated CPUs for single core usage, overclocked moderately to 4.8GHz.

Nice. I'm running an i5-8600k clocked at 4.5ghz now after a recent upgrade. Once PTS got the multicore improvements it did feel smoother even on my old i5-3570k.

With the new chip though it's all good.

Elden Root used to put my old CPU into the teens at the time, now the lowest I dip is about 43 fps. With the new chip haven't been to Elden Root w/ the multicore improvements yet.
