pointers or advice for leveling a magblade

just started a magblade, have never used one before --- wondering which skills i should be focusing on, and which weapon types.
its mainly gonna be for pve, but from what i hear they are fun to use in pvp also.

✭✭✭✭✭You can try out the skills advisor, but I generally want one skill from every class skill line on my bar so they level up. I'd go destro staff and use wall of elements as a weapon for leveling at first.2
