What about Animated Dyes?

So, here's what I'm thinking: Special dyes (or effects that can be applied over existing dyes) to ramp up the cool factor on our armor and weapons. One could be some kind of stardust effect, like you're looking in through a window to a starry sky that's inside your armor.

They could be obtained through a wide range of tasks like Veteran Trials, Master Writs, Holiday Events, or even through Achievements, but once obtained they'd be account-wide like the original dyes themselves.

It would be a neat idea if they could get the current dye system to work properly with the current texture dyes.

This game has some of...no..THE ugliest and most bland dyes of any mainstream MMO. As cool as it would be, can't see them doing it if they can't even put in normal vivid dyes.

In a similar vein, I kinda want the "stealthed" effect, just as a permanent thing. It makes some of the colours look a little different and cool.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but I think upcoming Outfit Styles make this request moot.

The idea is nice but not in their eyes... they won't even fix the blandness of how certain styles dye as is. I was at an outfit station the other day looking at some pieces that styled great but every color came out grey - boo! Boo bad dye, boo! lol

There already is color changing dyes in the game already that reacts to environment and angle looked at. The skyshard dye is one such dye.
