Horse mounts in Elden Root

It seems inappropriate for the Bosmer sStable master to have horses there with the Green Pact. Horses only eat grasses and plants... wouldn't a stable of Senches make more sense?

It would be nice to have racially appropriate mounts available from different regions, like guar in Morrowind regions, senche from Elsweyr, or bears from Wrothgar.

Alas, the stablemasters of Tamriel never got their exotic beasts licenses, so they can only keep specific breeds of horses while the Crown Store maintains its monopoly on everything else.

In the DLC zonnes the stablemasters display various mounts, but nonetheless they sell basic horses.

That's what was always great about WoW, different mounts for specific races/organizations.

I don't think you understand what the Green Pact is. Horses or other herbivore animals have nothing to do with it. There is no obligation nor expectation to stop animals from eating plants. The rules are simple:

    - Do not harm The Green (the forests of Valenwood)
    - Do not eat plant life or materials, only meat.
    - Eat the flesh of conquered enemies.
    - Do not kill wastefully.
    - Do not shift (take on the shape of beasts).

    That's it.

The Green Pact only requires Bosmer to not eat Vegetation. Animals are exempt and thus a Bosmer keeping a Horse that eats Hay is not a crime.
