Question on Spell Penetration in PVP

Let say i have 5000 spell pen and a player has 20,000 spell resistance. Does that mean i bring their spell resistance down to 15,000? If not then how is it calculated? Thanks

✭You are on the right track with your assumption. Most people sit around 20k resistances in pvp with the major buff to their resistances. If you have a base penetration, you can just subtract that value from their resistance. Same goes for major breach and stuff, it lowers the amount of the enemies resistance by that specific amount.0
