Suggestions for stamplar PVP setup?

I have a nord stamplar, I am aware orc is much preferred race but there is not much I can change about that now.

I currently find using stamplar really difficult and am wondering what kind of gear should stamplar aim for?

I think one of the most used setups is ravager and bone pirate (as soon as bone pirate will be fixed) together with bloodspawn or troll king. Those sets allow you to go for any combination of 2h, dual wield and snb. In summerset that actually will be tge case for all kind of combinations also using a bow.

I hear that ravager is pretty bad atm though, I guess it could be better with Summerset when you can transmute the rings and necklace to robust instead of healthy?

I currently run ravager and hunding but I think a standard is as Checkmath said. Need sustain built in as Templars only stam recovery tool only works after your enemy is dead and can be used up by another Templar

Should probably look up bleed builds as well. Hear they’re pretty nasty.

Bone Pirate + NMG* + Selene/Bloodpawn/Troll king etc.
*as of Summerset it gives Major Fracture when doing a critical hit on an enemy, so it's 5.3K penetration. Together with PotL you get 6.6K penetration, which is basically a 10% damage buff against more players.

i suggested a heavy setup, so ravafer weapons and body pieces, while jewelry would be bone pirate ;)

Heavy isn't playable on stamplar atm. Sustain is so bad that you need to have 2.8k stamregen when running heavy and then you'll hit like your jabs are unboiled Spaghetti

I really tried to play heavy again but it simply doesn't work in OW, you need rally for the burst heal on stamplar, sustain is so bad on heavy.
With the changes to heavy attack resource gain and off balance, medium armor has ironically better sustain with Heavy attacks than heavy

hmm other good sets for stamplar would be hulking draugr and automaton.
ok then as bohn stated, go 5 medium, even that is possible with ravager (ok 1 jewelry would be healthy then, wouldnt be that bad).

So far this sounds most effective

If you get enough health, swap to lava foot. It gives the most sustain and stamina out of all the foods. 2-3 tri enchants, 10-14 into health/rest stamina or run one health trait with a few points into health, run a max health race, poor rest into DMG. You can sit at around 1700 Regen this way or use serpent mundas to get 2k.

My build sits at 36k Stam, 3.5-4k WD depending on enchants, and 2k Regen. But then again I'm using shacklebreaker/troll/impreg; on demand purge is important to me as a stamplar hence the shackle. Dual maces give 20% armor penetration, if you only have 3-4k native penetration on a 21k target, that's free 3400 penetration (13600 armor left or about 11.2% DMG increase). Even against 18k light armor builds, it's around 10% DMG increase (11200 armor left).

So if you want to run swords/axes then NMG makes sense; major fracture is sexy to use of you can get it. But those if us that don't run SNB or specific sets, dual mace is about the same if fighting targets between 18-21k or higher (and there are alot of these lol). It just frees up a 5pc set to whatever we want.
