New Chapters and Soul Magic

Does anyone else feel like new "Chapter or Expansion" should add 1 new Active or Passive Ability to the Soul Magic Tree? Like completing the main quest line in Morrowind should give you access to another spell, the same goes for Summerset and whatever comes after. I understand they're not the same quest line, that's completed at the end of Coldharbour and whoever you decided to die... Old man, but I feel like it should add to it as the game progresses with each new Expansion / Chapter.

Not a bad idea, although then that particular skill or passive would be behind a pay wall and people already lose their minds when chapters or even DLCs have a skill line or game system locked behind them. So I'm not sure how well it would go over. In general though I like the idea of expanding on the Soul Magic skill line in some way. That skill line has been so stagnant for too many years.

There is definitely room for more actives and passives to flesh it it a bit more.

Well they could add it to base game, that each chapter rolls out get a new one. But that would only last a while.

But yes it does need fleshing out abit,

Hey when we get Necromancers added, or a Soul Cain DLC happens maybe it might happen then. :)

Let them loose their *** about P2W whenever new content adds.... new content. That's just how folks are. This skill line is heavyily underused except for a time where Soul Assault was too strong against medium armor.

However, that being said it would be thematically fitting for soul magic to have magic skills. Like the psiijic line is nearly full of utility only skills, this would probably become another utility line, making pros/cons of classes even more wishi washi. (mobility and dark deal for all coming SS) So I don't know how attractive this would be in your mind. Or it will be full of skills only mag builds can use and stam gets the shaft.

What should happen is that if you complete the Main Quest it allows you to revisit Morrowind and Summerset (and any possible future chapters) tutorials and acquire the skill points. Old characters should be privileged, and not deprived, from getting an extra skill point.

I think coupling things like that with expansion/DLC material is okay. The only people complaining about "pay walls" are people who don't realize the guys working on these games require steady paychecks, and that money has to come from somewhere. It's not like the base copy of the game is still flying off shelves at original price. If some people held full time jobs in real life instead of as guild officers running trials and whining, then they'd be more understanding.

Even though its labeled Soul Magic, it could be like Undaunted where they alternate between Magicka and Stamina abilities, maybe an ability that consumes Health or one that shatters a Soul Gem for Tri-restoration.

as long as soultrap gets a buff and the splitting gets a rework.
the heal and resource gain from one is great, the problem is it requires a target to die, thing is, the thing does such weak damage that you are making it less likely to kill a harder target.
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread
