While it is true that Laloriaran Dynar is, magickally speaking, a relic (given that he is more than three thousand years old, his gear significantly pre-dates the dye station), the looks of his armour have always kinda irked me.
While I appreciate the sentiment of generously applying Ayleid Gold to Meridia's Golden King, I've played around with dyes until I found something that preserves the looks, but makes it look as if he was wearing it while kicking ass (because, seriously, Laloriaran Dynar is here to recruit help to end the planemeld, and he's all out of recruitment forms).

Maybe you'll consider updating his armour in-game to my proposal? The Last Ayleid King is one of the most badass characters you ever wrote, and I'm a huge fan. He deserves to look the part.
Edit: To clarify, I suggested the washed-out version because it looks more
used and less parade-y. That guy held an entire gate of Hollow City and then endured three thousand years of torture wearing this.
In my opinion, there is only one kind of knight wearing shiny armour, and that is the kind of knight that doesn't fight in it.
I'm fairly certain ZOS can do even better than my suggestion.
