King Laloriaran Dynar: Better Armour

While it is true that Laloriaran Dynar is, magickally speaking, a relic (given that he is more than three thousand years old, his gear significantly pre-dates the dye station), the looks of his armour have always kinda irked me.

While I appreciate the sentiment of generously applying Ayleid Gold to Meridia's Golden King, I've played around with dyes until I found something that preserves the looks, but makes it look as if he was wearing it while kicking ass (because, seriously, Laloriaran Dynar is here to recruit help to end the planemeld, and he's all out of recruitment forms).

Maybe you'll consider updating his armour in-game to my proposal? The Last Ayleid King is one of the most badass characters you ever wrote, and I'm a huge fan. He deserves to look the part.

Edit: To clarify, I suggested the washed-out version because it looks more used and less parade-y. That guy held an entire gate of Hollow City and then endured three thousand years of torture wearing this.
In my opinion, there is only one kind of knight wearing shiny armour, and that is the kind of knight that doesn't fight in it.

I'm fairly certain ZOS can do even better than my suggestion.

Ayleid Gold is deeper, richer, and shinier. His armour looks washed out with your suggestions.

Is this a joke? Why would they change out shiny gold armor for pale goldish? Not to mention that its Ayleid Gold on an Ayleid.

The guy's dead yet is never buried or cremated. How comes his armour isn't covered in grey dust or green mould yet? That's the real request you should be making.

@manavortex Yeah, nothing respects an Ayleid king more than giving him a colour scheme made up of dyes of Dwemer origin.

That's like an Imperial paying respect to his Nedic ancestors by wearing armour worn by his Nordic ancestors.

The one on the right looks like an even cheaper rip-off toy.

The main annoyance I have with his colorings is that its all the same. If the cloth part had been, say, some shade of purple, or blue, or white, or whatever color the ayleids consider nice and royal-ish... just to add some contrast. The "gold plated metal" is neat enough, though I guess they -could- have used a different shade of gold for the rims...

And I wish more NPCs would get "refitted" with better visuals. Like... Naryu in Deshaan ought to get her Vvardenfell Morag Tong armor, yes? Many of the nobles should get... more nobly attire. And so on, new costumes ought to be refitted to old NPCs all the time (it also would be a good way to make people want to buy those, if they see them on NPCs, just sayin...)

I prefer the Ayleid gold. The details of his armor stand out better in that color.

I don't like the look of both as I prefer not putting the same dye for entire armor.
    Why not a mix of few, e.g. ayleid gold+viridian venom(shiny black)+abyssal beryl(shiny blue).

I have nothing but seething hatred for Mr. Dynar since his quest was annoying and non-linear and it took me forever back in the day to figure out where he was and how to rescue him.

So I propose we dunk him in iridescent dyes so that he glows from across coldharbour so it makes him easier to find.

Yeah, nothing respects an Ayleid king more than giving him a colour scheme made up of dyes of Dwemer origin.
I don't think he'd care about the name of the dyes. He might even appreciate the fact that I took down a fearsome Dwemer construct just to make him look good.
Or probably scold me for wasting resources when there's a Planemeld to fight. Yeah...

    He's pretty stationary, isn't he? :P

My point being, that guy defended one of Hollow City's gate all by himself (wearing that armour) and then endured 3000 years of torture (wearing that armour). It shouldn't look all new and glossy. I'm pretty certain ZOS can do something even better, given that they have a wider variety of colours at their disposal. His eye and skin colour are not available to players, why not extend that to his armour?

I prefer the right one (as you said wouldn't be polished as it is if what he went through), but in my opinion he really needs more of a special costume which looks more unique than the ancient elf style so he stands out as a unique character.
