That 1000 successful pick pockets achievement is insane... I’ve never really tried for it directly, but through thieves guild and random looting I’m only to 700 after years of playing

You can pickpocket the same person up to 3 times successfully. Each of those times count for progress on the achievement.

That one I did fairly quick. The Black Market Mogul achievement took a lot of time though. For that one you have to fence a million gold worth of items. Sadly the furniture you can get after the achievement looks more like a pile of rotting leaves than it does a pile of gold.

I don't really care for the achievements. I just want to level up my thieving to make some serious money.

Ive got Dark Brotherhood, so I tend to go for the pick, pick, stab method to get the best loot (quality of loot tends to improve on the 3rd strike) and minimize my chances of getting caught.

Or, if someone is murdering NPCs in your vicinity, I think you can pickpocket them once and get the other loot once the other person murders them.

After having picked 200 odd pockets for quests, I decided to spend some time camping out a certain Hlaalu house in Vvardenfell. Over the span of five days, I pickpocketed and killed the four unfortunate NPCs in there so many times, their reincarnation passes have long since expired. Got the 1k achievement and some motifs to boot. And a nice mountain of gold. But I won't do it that way again, for sure.

Another good reason to go pick, pick, stab is because NPCs respawn faster than the loot in their pockets does.
