Domihaus Monster set question, why dont people use it?

on paper it seems like one of the best sets in the game you get 2 max stats, 1.2k extra dps and 193 weapon/spell damage.
besides it looks pretty sick

It's one of the most commonly used 1-pieces in PVP. In PVE, the one piece is effectively the same as either a single max stam or max magic as, you only care about one as a DPS (depending on your spec). If you are ranged, the circle doesnt hit anything. If you move out of the circle, you lose the buff.

As you stated, it looks good on paper, but in a real fight, it falls apart pretty quick because you cant play range or be mobile if you want the damage and weapon/spell power boost.

Because it's very bad. The damage is only dealt to enemies inside the ring not the whole circle.
The 200 weapon damage + stamina/ magicka is weaker than 2pc wpndmg.

In PvP the 1pc is often used because it's very strong there

What about melee dps, i tried it and the circle is pretty big alot of room for movement

The double stat is good for me as stam dk since i get stamina out of magika earthen heart skills

I like using the 1 piece as a tank, always nice to have both stats.

Unfortunately the 2 piece is just crap.

Pretend as though the damage proc doesn't exist. It only damages enemies standing on the edge of the circle, not within the circle.

So the 2nd piece just gives 200 extra spell damage for slightly less than 2/3 of the fight. That's completely underwhelming DPS-wise compared to Grothdarr, Skoria, Velidreth, Stormfist, or Zaan.

oh ok that sucks, outer circle only really make it useless, too bad though everything about it seemed good

It would have been a legit option if enemies inside the circle took damage. People have been telling ZOS that since the HOTR PTS but no one has ever acknowledged the feedback and ZOS apparently doesn't care that the 2-piece underperforms virtually every other damage monster set.

You can wear one piece Domihaus and one piece Kena for 100% uptime of slightly less damage. No proc needed.
