Inventory increase with DLC/Chapter purchase

Dear ZoS,

every DLC or Chapter introduces a couple of new items, while the general inventory cap currently stays always the same. Similarly as you increase the CP cap with every expansion, please consider for the sake of your paying customers a corresponding inventory increase at least for those of us who have payed said DLC.

Best regards!

yes, the inventory buff from morrowind was what i liked the most. if you don't give anything substantial with summerset, next year's chapter will have to be so good to make up for it. morrowind, to me, set the price of the market...you gotta get bigger and give us what we want.

8 to 15 characters with maxed storage, riding capacity maxed, all storage chests, and ESO+ doubled bank space, and still not enough inventory space?

I mean, I'll admit I have a hoarding problem in video games, but that seems a little excessive.

It's actually really easy to run out of room.

I hold onto commonly used sets, especially sets that were meta at any point in time. Also monster sets, in different weights. That pretty much takes up all my storage chests, just useful gear. Very important IMO when the meta shifts every 3 months.

Bank gets swole with odds and ends, piles of writs and surveys, and intricates for deconning on alts. It's rare for it to get completely full, but if I get too lazy it can happen.

I only really use the inventory on my main character. I don't like mules - having to remember which char has what is a drag, and the login/logout is too damn long. I sub to avoid mules.

So as far as actual storage goes (chests, bank), you can definitely fill it up pretty fast without hoarding every little thing.

That's why I use Inventory Insight addon. I have access to the inventory of ALL my characters, including my bank, on any character. It's great when you're running a dungeon and wonder if you need an item for an alt.

I have inventory problems even before you factor in common hoarding.

One oddball thing about ESO+ is that the crafting bag is solely for materials. The following is a partial list, off the top of my head, of things that are only used in relation to crafting, yet can't be stored in the craft bag: surveys, master writs, motifs, motif fragments (e.g., glass), recipes, recipe fragments (e.g., ambrosia), craft stations, and transmutation geodes.

Then there are the items that can be used for other things besides crafting, but are only ever used for crafting, including gear with the intricate trait, green food stacks for writs, and so on.

And then there are the items you get from running crafting writs (without double dipping things like master writs), such as empty soul gems, repair kits, ornate gear, etc. Unlike soul gems nowadays, if you run alts of various levels through writs you can receive a variety of different level ranges of repair kits that don't stack.

That's just crafting and without materials...

Why should I waste all or most of my character slots just to store mats? Logging in and out and shifting them via the bank is also very sub-optimal.

Because spending $14.99 a month for unlimited crafting bag is too much??? That's 2 starbucks coffees or 1 movie. Plus, you get 1500 crowns/month to spend.

Not choosing to participate in an aspect of the game (in this case available inventory slots on alts) isn’t anyone else’s problem ... especially not ZOS’s.

It’s no different than PvE players whining in the forums that they can’t get caltrops and vigor ... even though they refuse to do siege support or repair home keep walls in Cyrodiil (which isn’t front line PvP).

I have ESO+ so what does this have to do with my request at all?

Well, you stated you didn't want to waste character slots just to store mats (I assume you're talking crafting mats). If you have ESO+ this isn't even an issue as the crafting bag space is unlimited and accessible from ALL your characters.

I am using alts to shift items from one alt to another, so I am participating in this idiotic re-logging. But why do you want to leave it in this state I am wondering?

A plea for more space? I'll always agree to that.

To be more specific, I'd like more inventory management options. Mannequins in my house to store gear sets would be a huge time saver for transferring full gear sets with a single button press. The new storage containers are a nice touch, but it feels clunky to have 8 different boxes when it could just be one giant box that you expand upon, making it easier to find the things you put in there. Give me a furnishing bag that functions similar to the craft bag. These sort of additions would allow me to clean up my inventory and put things in neat sorted areas. Instead of toons that hold gear, it could be housing items storing my gear. Instead of toons holding furnishings, it could just be a bag tab.

Sorry for the confusion then, its not crafting mats what I had in mind but general inventory stuff.

Part of the reason ZOS didn't add storage to housing right away is because players weren't maxing their inventory, so ZOS said it clearly wasn't needed.

Now, they've since added storage, finally, but the idea still applies. If most players don't have maxed inventory space on their characters, maxed bank, and all the storage, ZOS isn't likely to give more inventory space, especially since that's a major incentive to get ESO+ for extra bank space and the crafting bag.

    This issue is really varied.

I'm on the side of having around 320ish out of 400 space filled, without hoarding full sets that may become BiS in future (it's mostly duplicate treasure maps and white laundered pickpocket loot if I ever do T.G side quests again.) So a decent amount of my bank and inventories are used, but i'm not desperate for more space or anything (Mr. Middle Ground, that's me!)

But for the sakes of those that do hoard all they can, I don't see any real problems with a new purchasable bank space upgrade or 2 with each expansion chapter release.
