Question regarding level scaling in pvp

Hi folks,

I am wondering why I see so many high ranked low level toons in the campaigns. For example in Sotha Sil PC/EU I encountered some people of level 20-40, but have tribune to praetorian rank. Are they twinks of min/maxers who want to take advantage of level scaling? Some enlightenment on this matter would be nice.

I can’t say for sure, but I do know that a lot of good players enjoy keeping toons in that sweet spot of 35-45 and playing in Kyne and obviously the same applies to Sotha. Level scaling is really really strong so you can build to just deal a lot of damage and still have good stat pools and regen.

Kyne Player here. Praetorian can t believe it. May from last double AP event but on the other hand AR19-22 is normal in Kyne without any secret.

You just focus on PvP and do no quests. Every hour new AP buff (run inside just kill the boss and out with as low exp as possible)


My characters are normaly AR20+ when they reach LvL50. I start always with character lvl10 and Mageguild LvL10 in Cyro, then go for skyshard farm in Cyro until LvL16 and start then PvP only until max LvL and avoid as much XP as possible.

@Valagash , that's the how. Now how about the why?

It it the scaling bonuses, something specific about the campaign? (lack of some of the crazy end game sets, for instance), some semblance of balance?

It s just about to play as long as you can in baby pvp because it s fun like hell and you haven t all the issues as in Vivec or Sotha Sil. No lag, no spikes, 3 faction fights in one keep for hours and every skill works and doesn t delay. No broken monster sets and so on. No dia shows, just pvp as it should be or was in the first 6 weeks after ESO release.

It s just fun and yes you ll find a lot of veteran players who play Kyne mostly or only now. I start with a friend my 20th character in Kyne now. Why, it s fun (and yes I delete after they hit lvl50)

Why :
- You dont need to farm as much as for vet ( No Monster Sets / Asylum Weps etc.)

- Its not as zergy as vet ( because less players)

- No big organized groups that destroy everthing

- Many nice people

- You can quickly make another char if you want to try something

I wasn't in the sub 50 campaign but in the non-cp campaign Sotha Sil and just wondering why I saw so many low level toons with high pvp rank there.
