Cool ideas to make style stones relevant again ...

In other news, I’m still disappointed that style stones were gutted from the game.

A side effect of the introduction of the Outfit System ... which overall was received quite well from players.

However, even in Summerset, ZOS will continue to add motifs to the game ... proudly proclaiming in the natch potes that the style stones can be found in the same method as said motifs.

But the reality is players won’t ever use those fancy style stones on actual gear. Instead, they will use up basic racial style stones first (they have more of those in the craft bag) ... and simply overlay the Outfitter with their favorite combination of known motifs.

As collateral damage, Crown mimic stones have also plummeted in their viability ... and you can’t even sell those in-game as vendor trash (you can turn in new mimic stones for crown gems, however).

Does anyone have a good idea or way to introduce style stones back in the game?

well one thing the stones are good for (same with mimic stones) is master writs, as they call for many of the fancy styles. Also a few are used in housing furnishings too.




but if we can go as far as we want with this, maybe be able to pay with a style stone to erase the gold cost on the outfit per piece. like heres a defiled whisker now that dro'matha staff is free instead of 3000gold....oh and i can dye free now

Style stones still have their place. Outfits require that you know the motif somewhere on your account. Not everyone is at that point. So crafting for others is where I use them. Also helps for my alt accounts. And then there's writs. So dont count them out yet

I have to spend a couple hundred thousand gold every month or so on style stones. So, still relevant for writs!
