PVP sets on a "Budget" (I mean easy to get)

I'm wondering which sets of medium armor are best for pvp? I'm specifically looking for ones which can be acquired through dolmen/WB/Delve farming and very easy dungeons. (My plan is to go with 2 pieces heavy for a monster set eventually but want to get the medium pieces first. I intend to PVE with this gear as well until I get better PVE sets)
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Spriggan's Thorns
(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) Adds 3450 Physical Penetration

You can farm it yourself because it is an overland set available from Bangkorai.

Ok, I'm going to list out some good medium pvp sets for you, I don't know how you feel about crafting and searching through guild stores so I'm gonna give you some viable sets from a variety of sources. They are all viable so you can mix-and-match.

    Overland zone sets (dolmen/wb/delve):
    Red Mountain: stonefalls
    Spriggan: Bankorai

    Crafted:
    Shacklebreaker: Vvardenfel
    Eternal Hunt: Hew's Bane

    Easy Dungeon:
    Bone Pirate: Blackheart Haven
    Draugr Hulk: Direfrost Keep

Bought Cheap from guild stores (or from pvp):
    Impregnable
Marksman (controversial choice, but there aren't many sustain sets on this list, and 5% cost reduction is decent)

Basically just pick any two of these sets and slap them on, it should give you a quick-and-dirty pvp setup that can keep you going until you put together a more optimized build.

Depending on your class, make sure you have around 1800-2100 stam regen and at least 20k health while in pvp. Use as many impenetrable peices as you can get.

What’s your class? A really, really basic setup for stam is bone pirates and agility jewlery. Then you can run whatever weapons you want and monster set. If you don’t have any specialty weapons like vMA, Master or Asylum, then you might go bone pirates and hundings rage, duel wield front bar and 2H or Bow backbar. 2H backbar can be more useful for pvp, but a bow is good for PvE always and PvP depending on class and what buffs you have access to. Duel wield is a good crossover weapon for front bar. But the thing is, you can only do casual overland and maybe normal dungeons in a PvP setup and you can basically only zerg in Cyrodiil in a PvE setup, so pick a focus. You ultimately need two gear sets. One damage and sustain set in impen for PvP and two damage sets in divines for PvE, in general. CP point distribution also changes. PvE favors dots and doesn’t need any crit resist or healing boosts, where as PvP often is heavily loaded into direct damage and requires different distribution for defense and sustain. You can also play a dot build in PvP as well.

That's not a bad pvp setup, nord helps mitigate the natural squishiness of nightblade. And 2h+bow has been meta for a while.

You'll want to use the 2h for your main dps bar (Surpise Attack, Ambush, Execute, Momentum, filler) and the bow for buffs/debuffs (Poison Injection, filler, Cloak, Vigor, Evasion)

Most people are gonna use fear in the 2h filler slot and Shadowy Image or relentless focus for the bow filler slot.

Hundings Rage is one of the best sets in the game.... and its crafted.

You can run the lover mundus stone for penetration and avoid the need for spriggans (which can get expensive but depends on what piece)

I already run the lover stone, does this mean I should go for a different set aside from spriggans? is automaton any good?

Anybody once tried red mountain together with way of fire. That setup would deal huge damage when paired with flurry. Wouldnt that overperform in no cp campaign?

Not really for stamblade its not. Incap strike is not physical damage. Also it doesn't work on heals like hundings does.

I do actually use SotA but thats because i am trying to 2 shot from stealth with focused aim. Next patch empower changes ruins that so its on to trying to onslaught gank with sword singers instead.

You will probably will not need spriggans, lover and sharpened weapons.

The other swt thats good on NBs not yet meantioned is archers mind. More crit damage.

Shackle + bone pirate + 1 blood spawn or 1 pirate skeleton 2h+Bow is a very very very good setup for medium armor builds, especially for stamina nightblades. I recommend you go with 5 impen 2 well fitted, as well as 6 medium 1 heavy.

Shacklebreaker is craftable. Just ask for a friend to craft you a full body set in impen for you, if anything you can farm the mats and give them to him.

Bone pirate comes from one of the absolute easiest dungeons in game. It took me about 3 hours to farm 3 purple jewelry pieces and 2 impen armor pieces.

You sure poison and disease doesnt count as physical? when I tried looking it up on the wiki It showed that it falls under that category, and my friends in game are telling me it is physical.

Not for strength of the automaton it doesn't.

Its the same as war maiden only buffs specifically magic damage and not elemental damage (fire lightning and ice).

On my. DW/SnB stamblade ive decided to go Draugr Hulk + strength of Automaton + bloodspawn.
Havent got all the pieces yet. But the biggest boost to stats ive noticed is from improving them to purple (epic) quality. Need to gold the weapons too. Blues dont cut it. If opponent in pvp survives your initial attack then you are probably going to die if you dont escape.

Im having the most trouble getting the monster helm. Nobody wants to help someone with 250 cp complete a vet dungeon.

I'd avoid mentioning dungeon sets as they aren't really easy to get for everyone. If you only have an hour to play, spending 50% of that time to get one item you really need is a waste. At least compared to spending 10% of your time crafting hundings/shackle/mechanical acuity and then buying the overland sets you need in blue while saving up for the purple purchases.

10 minutes and you are PvP ready. Versus one week to a month of getting other sets. Seems like a no brainier to me (especially if shacklebreaker+lava foot+mundas Regen with major endurance can put you at 2k Stam Regen while still giving you the monster/2nd 5pc sets/enchants of your choosing.

Right now I have plenty of time to play, if I ever have a problem getting into a dungeon its usually because I'm trying to pug as dps.

    3 Unfathomable Darkness jewelry + 1 Kra'gh = Baby Spriggans

Can be paired with two craftable sets that only need to be active on one bar.

DPS wait for hours for a pop. Healers and tanks get in within minutes. Are you unable to tank or heal for some reason?

I think a really easy combo to acquire is Spriggans (damage/penetration) and Marksmen (sustain). You could purchase a full set fairly cheaply, only possible sticking point would be the weapons. Spriggans weapons in less than Ideal traits are pretty cheap these days, and as farms go, spriggans is easy. Marksmen stuff is so abundent in PVP, that its dirt cheap. Weapons are always the sticking point with a grind/cheap purchase.

Of course I dont tank or heal. My stamblade is not a tank or a healer. And vigor alone is not sufficient to be a healer.
And when I do dungeons I switch from snb to bow for endless hail.

It does not take hours on ps4.

Is there not a tank and healer shortage like every MMO which uses the trinity system on PS4? (although the ones which actually make tanking fun have more tanks unlike ESO sadly)
