The thing that bums me out being on a console!

Hardly anyone uses voice chat or typing. Last night I went to a new dungeon and we wiped on the last boss. So I typed what went wrong, NO answer from anyone. So we tried the boss again and another wipe. Again. I asked what went wrong and finally someone turned on their mic and explained to us how to do the fight.

And he knew that 3 of us were new to the fight because we were doing the quest. If he would have taken 2 minutes to explain the fight before the first wipe we would have never wiped the first time. And the second wipe was just flat out uncalled for.

If I was on PC some one would have explained the fight before we even started the first fight. But since I was on Xbox the guy coldn't be bothered until we wiped twice.

Not everyone on PC is responsive either.

Doing the quest doesn't necessarily indicate new to the fight. Many people have alts that they run through dungeons for the first time to get skill points.

Also, if you are new to a dungeon, you should say something at the start of the fight rather than waiting until the last boss and expecting someone to explain it to you without knowing they needed to.

And text chat on console is awful unless you have a keyboard. I only do it if absolutely necessary.

I said I was new to the dungeon and the start of the dungeon. I let everyone know that I needed to do the quest because I never did the dungeon before.

When I was farming SPC for my healer a year ago first thing I did was to ask if anyone was new there and explain if needed. Needless to sayy ignore list grow a lot after failed planar inhibitor boss.(5-6 wipes and same person refuses to attack rifts goes to my ignore list).

This isn't just a console thing...it's a game thing. Players on PC don't always respond either. And, as far as talking goes, there is no built in voice chat...you need a 3rd party app like TeamSpeak or Discord.
It's a player issue, not a system issue...

Edit: Responded before I read SBC's comment. He's exactly right...

This, and I have dropped dungeons because of this simply by group does not communicate and don't know mechanic.
By not communicating this is stuff like do not eat then some has 13 K health and I repeatably type food check.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
