But advertising it on social media as ULTRA RARE is kinda pushing it, no?

That's just so bold to lie like this. Buoyant Armiger motif for example is ultra rare, yes, but motif market is full of Dro-m'Athra.

I'm pretty sure that unless you run Maw of Lorkhaj or got a few from the once-a-year event, the motif itself is considered ultra-rare because those are the only two methods of the motif dropping. There's plenty of people who neither had the luck with the Reward Boxes or the skill/opportunity to run MoL. For them the chance to outright buy the motif might be worth it, though I agree that if one smartly shops the guild traders, one can usually get the motif for a decent price in gold.

People pug nMoL all the time. They reduced the drop rate somewhat in the last patch, but before that they were dropping for each run per week. They had gotten around 3-5K. Once the market had been saturated for a long time, the prices take long to climb back up. For example Mercenary is still trading for under 1K per page after it had dropped for years in every 2nd or 3rd undaunted chest. Now it's more like every 10th one.
