the research time isn't really troubling me that much...
I had figured it would take me 3 to 4 weeks to have two characters be able to research and level up jewelry crafting to be able to make cp160 necklaces and rings for a six trait set - which are the crafted sets I use......
my concern now is exactly how long it might take me to acquire the materials to craft 3 pieces of epic jewelry...

So im not that up to date on jewelry crafting. I know on the PTS it looked like it would take a lot of matts to upgrade the jewlry. like i think i deconned one thing and got maybe 3 purple matts that you need 10 of to make 1 purple matt that you would THEN need 4 of to upgrade. So like 14 purple jewelry maybe?
If someone want to spend 90k crowns (think I saw someone doing the maths about this, but don´t quote me on this) to get all traits on day one, be my quest.
These people will still have to spend an godlike amount of time getting the new materials to craft them (since the grind is horrible at the moment). The research time isn´t the issue with jewellery crafting, getting materials for it is

These scrolls have a cooldown of 20h so you cannot buy a bunch and power level the trait researching.
It will still half the research time so its probably worth to spending writs on.
When it comes to material it will be a bit of a grind, deconning useless stuff to level jewelry crafting could provide a reasonable amount of mats. Harvesting was reported to be tricky because there are very nodes, hopefully that will get adjusted before Summerset goes live. The upgrade tempers up to purple will be fairly common, gold tempers are a different story ofc. I actually think green upgrade tempers could be somewhat rare because most events reward blue or purple jewelry.

I hadn't deconned many purple items, so I just went on PTS and deconned 30 purple rings/necklaces. I ended up with 26 purple temper dust, no more than 1 purple dust per ring/necklace and sometimes none at all. That was using a template character with all the jewellery skills maxed out.
But who needs Purple crafted jewellery anyway. What we want is Gold, of our chosen sets, crafted or not!
